Some of you may have heard from my previous thread that I've interviewed Roxy Pettrucci. I'd like to share it with you. The story behind it is that Vixen was the first girl band that I've actually enjoyed listening to. Madam X was also another band that I enjoyed. So I decided to email the drummer of both bands, Roxy Pettrucci.

I was on my emailing spree at the time, so I put a whole bunch of childish crap in my emails. So, uh, here it is:

"Hi [my name]!

See answers below....thanks for taking interest in Vixen and Madam X.

My name is [you know the drill, *insert name here*]. I wanted to ask you a few questions, as you are from 2 of my favorite bands (Vixen and Madam X). That’s one of the reasons why I wanted to email you. I will explain the second reason near the end of this email.

First of all, when did you decide to have your career in music?
Elementary school I started on Clarinet.

At what age did you start playing the drums?
14 yrs. old

[Stuff about me playing piano -__-]

What was the first band you joined (like a high school band for instance)?.
I played Clarinet in the varsity band and once I became a more developed drummer I joined the Jazz band.
And what was your favorite subject at school?
Music and English.

Now here’s the second reason part:
Just out of curiosity, what instrument (piano or guitar) would be best to stick to for academics?
Piano is an instrument every musician should learn.
I can play the piano well and I’m playing guitar by tab. What’s your vote?
You already play the Piano so good for you...pick up that guitar and play!
Also, what’s your favorite instrument to play for fun?

Things other than playing an instrument:
What do you do for a hobby?
Physical Fitness, movies and more music!

I build model aircraft and tanks. [Stuff about how I do the models and blah blah blah. I was very immature at the time...]

I also loathe nowadays music. It stinks. I love 60s, 70s, and 80s music. Rolling Stones, Dion, Johnny Cash, Devo, Iron Maiden, all of that. I hate current music. What’s your favorite era of music?
There's good music out there you just have to search for it.

Sorry I got sidetracked with the hobbies sector.
Very cool hobby [SNIP] you're a smart guy!

Thank you! Oh, and by the way, what’s your favorite pet?
I love cats and dogs!

I had that thought on my mind. But, thank you very much!

Take care and Keep Rockin!
