Twitter lit up with jokes about the interlocking letters looking sexually suggestive.

"What is the T doing to that P?" the longtime former Democratic Rep. John Dingell quipped.

Never would have thought of that for a T and P being interlocked. Not at the age of 37 anyways. Back when I was in High School I might have chuckled over it. I find this more laugh worthy.

Oh nos! I bet all of those jokes made people change their mind about supporting Trump.

Anyway, I figured they'd go more the TP route as well. And I do agree OP, we do need a laugh every now and then.

The TP/toilet paper connection is obvious. It had to have come up during the design process.

Seems like an intentional bad decision to me. I say this as a graphic designer who has developed a fair share of logos. It's a painstaking process because logos are generally designed by 'committee,' so to speak. I can't believe with so many hands in this pie, playing up the 'TP' would ever fly.
