Yes, Maude was truly awful. However, Golden Girls is a great program (wife watches it all the time, and I'll even sit in to watch...which is rare).

America's Funniest Videos ranks right up there in the top 1% of awful programming. The videos were funny, but the show itself, and the canned laughter, were enough to make me turn it off (and that was a live audience also! Wonder how stoopid people in the audience felt when the canned laughter came on).

Most sitcoms are bad; it would be more entertaining to talk about the good ones.

There's one in the UK called My Family which is completely bereft of any wit or humour.

Another one is Gavin & Stacey, which is apparently quite popular.

The chief source of the comedy seems to be derived from regional accents.

Ho ho.

So many bad ones to choose from. Mr Belvadear or however you spell it. Punky Brewster, The Real ONeils, Webster, Perfect Strangers, Unhappily Ever After. Family Matters. Full House may be the worst.
