What is the song that is your theme, your anthem, that epitomizes who you are, how you feel, and what you are all about. This can describe your personality, your feelings, and your dreams.

What song is a reflection of you? If you were going to introduce yourself through song, what would you pick?

Music speaks to us in interesting ways; and I believe it is because it has an ability to heal in terms of emotion and spirituality. What song heals you?

Since we all have 100's of these songs, let's try to limit it to 1-3 at most. Let's share the defining songs of who we are.

Although I would like to keep our choice of songs limited in number, I also invite you to detail lyrics that are especially important to you, or to explain why the song is important to you, or how it reflects on your personality.

I hope this thread is worthy of some participation! I am feeling an urge to connect to others right now, and maybe this is one way to accomplish that. Have fun, and I look forward to your replies.

I will start with 2 that are everything I am:


This song speaks to me as I have always been a bachelor hoping to share a life with someone. This song represents my inner desire, and the source of much of my grief.


This song is closer to home: I have always felt close to nature and lived in the desert. It is a reflection of my internal and external environments. Solitude is my home.

This is it if you want to fix it for me. It's basically about building some happy sheltered life. Away from reality with "poison skies and severed heads and pain and lies..." . It fits me pretty well right now.

Came out just after a break up that I never recovered from...12 years and counting. Song is in reverse for me.
