Have you run across songs that are ostensibly love songs but, on closer examination, don't really seem to be about love?

I've been contemplating "The Game of Love" (by Santana featuring Michelle Branch) for some time. On my more cynical days I think it's the epitome of what love is. On other days I feel like the song is cynical and it has nothing to do with love.

I just listened and read the lyrics. It is definitely a love song. All relationships are diffrent, therefore an incredible number of songs that describe love.

And thanks, or else I would never have known the lyrics to this very good song.

Beyond 'a little bit of this' I never really paid attention.

I can;t believe I had never heard that song. I used to like Pet Shop Boys a lot. 'Love Comes Quickly' made me think of new love, new flirtation that one didn't expect. It is a very sensual song. Itis a love song.

Bjork is not really my cup of tea. But almost a similar idea to the Pet Shop Boys song, just, maybe more 'love comes slowly' but it is there, nonetheless. It uis a love song, too.
