Republicans brand pornography ‘a public health crisis’

No I kid you not. This is one the biggest concerns Republican delegates have noted and have voted in as part of this years 2016 GOP election platform:

Republican delegates have voted unanimously to include an amendment in the party’s draft election platform that describes pornography as “a public health crisis that is destroying the lives of millions.”

The GOP also condemned porn in its 2012 policy platform, which called for current laws on pornography and obscenity to be “vigorously enforced.” But the amendment introduced to the party’s 2016 platform on Monday uses significantly sterner language.

The GOP, the party of big government. They insist on getting involved in the personal lives of others while preaching 'small government'. What exact laws do Republican politicians hope to enforce against pornography? I don't see any specifics. All talk again I guess.

While many in the middle and working classes continue to struggle and while faith in effectiveness of government continues to fall, politicians like those in GOP feel the need to focus whether or not you choose to surf porn. I can't for the life of me believe this nonsense. But I guess it's the voters behind these politicians that should be held equally accountable. We are our own worst enemy.

Funny.. pornography is so widely available now it's probably gone way, way down on the "addictive" scale.
It used to be an addiction for a lot of people because it wasn't as common, so people spent hours, days looking for it, or that new one, spending lots of money.
Now days you just turn off safe search and Google 'porn' done, and done.

Yes Reldra... This years 2016 election platform.. and they've pretty much gone further to label it a 'crises'. They want States to take action.

I know... what the hell.

Health crisis? Not unless you can catch an STD from your hand or your own personal satisfaction implement.

Psychology? There's truth in that, even studies to back it up. I think in moderation is the key... supplemental if anything.

As far as Republican interference in the bedroom? I think the image of Hillary takes care of that quite effectively already.

I think the public health crisis is porn that doesn't feature straight males more. There are a lot of straight males in porn and a lot in gay porn, but not really the same percentage of straight males being featured. This is a real problem.

republicans always want into people's bedrooms. I believe it to be a Republlican fetish To be fair, there should be voyeurism sites JUST for republicans and Conservatives. Maybe they would be more calm about what others are doing, then.

That is a disconcerting thought, senators and congressmen usually have a taste for the really unacceptable.

and oddly, Anthony Wenier got so much press. He was doing normal things, even if not nice in a marriage. The ones that did the stranger things don't get 24 hour coverage.

This is equal to gender neutral bathrooms on the pressing issues scale.
