Always love that bit of Russian propaganda...and it seems you do to.

Propaganda is Russians are the threat to the world. Yet its US military on their border thousands of miles from home, not the other way round.

No it is not. NATO''s expansion east was done with Russia a part of NATO's PfP and on the Russia-NATO council and in fact Russia has take part in NATO exercises in Poland and the Baltic Sea.

NATO and Russia are one together, huh?

I'm, not even going to address that.

Russia and the US/NATO had very close ties. Since you seem unaware let me educate you. Russian joined the North Atlantic Cooperation Council in 1991, joined NATO PfP in 1994. signed the NATO Russia Founding act in 1997, joined the NATO-Russia Council in 2002, , was invited and joined the G8 in 1997. Russia joined NATO naval, air and ground exercises across Europe and even in the United States.

And of course Russia also received billions in US and Western aid, subsidized loans and debt restructuring. The IMF bailout in 1998 $11.2 billion, in 1992 the US provided $645 million in technical and humanitarian aid to Russia and other CIS states along with an emergency airlift of food and medicine. Also in 1992 the US started "Operation Provide Hope," an international emergency aid program to the former Soviet Republics. also in 1992 The United States, Japan, the European Community, and Russia signed an agreement establishing the International Science and Technology Center-the West payed to create it keep the from suffering a massive brain drain, also in 92 The United States pledged $4.5 billion as a share of a $24 billion international program to support economic reform in Russia, The G-7 leaders promised $1 billion in aid to Russia,

in 1993 formed a U.S.-Russian Commission on technical cooperation in energy and space, the G7 The Summit's Economic Declaration called for a $3 billion Special Privatization and Restructuring Program, with a Support Implementation Group in Moscow. The United States announced a bilateral aid program of $1.8 billion for Russia and the former Soviet republics.

in 1994 Russia agreed to convert 500 tons of highly enriched uranium from the former Soviet nuclear arsenal into low-enriched uranium suitable for use in nuclear power stations. The United States would in turn purchase $12 billion worth of low‑enriched uranium over a 20-year period so that Russia could still keep its nuclear program and not have its scientist running off to other nations. Also President Clinton announced that the Overseas Private Investment Corporation had signed three protocols supporting investment by U.S. companies in the Russian telecommunications and petroleum industries. The United States opened a Russian Small Enterprise Fund and a fund to promote large-scale private-sector development.

In 2000 The US and Russia establish a joint data exchange center in Moscow to share early warning information on missile and space launches. It would be the first permanent U.S.-Russian military operation ever, with Russian and U.S. military officials working side by side 24 hours a day.

in 2001 Russia and the US announced a Russian-American Business Dialogue initiative steered by the U.S.-Russia Business Council, American Chamber of Commerce, Russian-American Business Council, and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on behalf of the business communities of both countries. Also the United States and Russia announced their intention to cooperate in fighting terrorism, rebuilding Afghanistan, and achieving lasting peace in the Middle East.

in 2002 Russia and the US Protocol of Exchange of Instruments of Ratification to bring into force a Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty between the United States and Russia. Chairman of the Russian Government in a joint effort to fight crime and terrorism.

I could go on but, I think I have made my point. Russia has not only walked hand in hand with NATO but, received billions in aid as well. Seems odd the US would spend do much money propping Russia up if it wanted to destroy it eh?

Most of these deals were 2015 and sadly in 2016 India is doing something called off sets. Russia cant afford the investments involved and many contracts will fall through. India has set it up that if they spend 500 million to a country that country has to spend 500 billion in investments in india. Good for countries like the US who are happy to open up industries and make investments bad for countries which can't afford it. In fact I really think this was done to lock Russia out of the India market.

India is not happy about Russia selling arms to China and doesn't like the idea of having the same equipment. If Russia stopped selling to China I gurantee this restrictions would disapear.

Russia, as the Soviets and now not, has always been the focus as the enemy, Thats why NATO was formed after WWII:

To give the United states an excuse to remain in Europe,

To keep Germany down,

To keep the Soviets out.

Now the Warsaw Pact is disbanded and the Soviets gone, the US military should go home as well. it endangers everyone by arming Europe and rattling sabres along the Russian border.

Because those countries that border them want us there...and does Cuba ring a bell, as they are 90 miles away from the US border and have had Russian military posted there from 1964 until 2001...much longer than the US has had presence in countries that border Russia.

I guess that was just overlooked.

Russia and NATO were buddy buddy. Then they invaded Crimea. Also the European nations don't need NATO to defeat Putin. They need NATO to defend against Putin. Once again it's a defensive alliance. Not an offensive one.

Russia didn't care a much until US EU (NATO) meddled in Ukraine. Crimea was a defensive response to keep access to the Black Sea fleet at Sevastopol.

Ukraine has always been about cutting off the Russian Navy in the Black Sea.

No. Look rat the dates. All of that is post USSR with the Russian Federation. And some of that aid did not end until the occupation of Crimea. Russia particupation in NATOs PfP and NATO-Russian Council, the G8 ect, did not end until after the occupation of Crimea. Again, trying to change history is not going to work. Russia has walked hand in hand with NATO until the occupation of Crimea. This is not something that can be ignored or brushed aside.

And US forces in Europe are their at the request of those nations as you well know. In fact they would like the US to sens many more. Much like most of the nations in Asia you US has offers of bases and request for troops all the time.

You know when a nation like the Philippines asks the US Navy to leave, the US Navy leaves. With you justification for Russia actions in Crimea the US should have taken over Subic Bay and occupied part of the Philippines. Russia had treaties with Ukraine the promised to respect their borders. A treaty of friendship. Even I do not know the last time that happened.

The real problem India has with Russia arms is the high end systems like aircraft are never deliver on time and have constant defects. This requires repairs that the Russian's ar slow to make and often unable to fix the problems. The big problem for Russia is the can design great weapons systems but, the defense industry no longer has the skills to make the larges numbers of a high quality. You can find nightmare stories about the condition of stuff the Russians have sold people.

India still expects Russia to back it against China but, is hedging its bets by getting in bed with the US and Japan. I do not think they will give up the Russians completely until the day comes when Russia backs out on them.

You do know that India is arming up to face China.

You do know NATO is encroaching into Eastern Europe?

The real threat to the entire hemispheres.

NATO expansion was done hand in hand with Russia. You do not get to rewrite history just because it does not fit your narrative.

And this is about India and China. With Russia to weak to back India against China, India has turned to the US and Japan. Oh, that evil US forcing India into joint exercise and building carriers with them.

US is going to sell outdated junk to India. India will never win because US has never truly supported her. That is why India buys from both sides. Japan will be destroyed in process. They are just way too close of China. US will obviously backstab rest of the world later on as always. You shall see.

What is this nonsense about the US backstabbing its allies? You just state random things and then never back them up. Let us all here about these US allies the US has backstabbed? And the US selling the tech and helping India build a real Aircraft Carrier. Something that will give India an edge over China. Russia was the one selling India junk which is why they have turned to the US, Israel and Europe with more and more of its needs. And Japan will have the backing of Taiwan, ASEAN, ANZUS, India and NATO. I think they will be ok.

Strange how all these nations in Asia trust the US and not China. How can that be if the US is so evil? It has to be hard to keep pushing an agenda when almost the entire World is not buying it.

No change as those are the facts...something you seem to want to dismiss.

I know you don't like facts as they get in the way of your thinking.

Wrong you seem to have that backwards...as it is Russia who meddled in Ukraine because they wanted to join NATO.

As far as the Black Sea Fleet...they had a lease until 2042 so they were never in danger of losing their access to the Black Sea. But hey what do facts matter when you can just make it up as you go...right?

Again Ukraine gave Russia a long standing lease so how is it they were all about keeping Russia out of the Black Sea...again facts don't really matter in your world do they, because you seem to dismiss them for fantasy.

That is Turkey's role, and once Erdogan swatted the Russian bear on the nose with a newspaper, the bear has has rolled over. Ankara and Moscow are making nice now that Putin realizes that Erdogan has resolve. Oh, and whatever happened to that Chinese aircraft carrier that was coming to Russia's aid in the Med?
