Clearly we should ban trucks, because people with trucks can illegally obtain firearms

Very funny.

On topic.

I have a bad feeling about President Obama visiting Dallas on Tuesday.

We all know the history.....

Chief Brown is enlisting other cities to provide security for his visit, saying Dallas is overwhelmed at the moment. I just think we have too much on our plate right now to have to deal with a presidential visit.

Where did you see that they would all be in the same place at once? All of them in Dallas?

I haven't heard anything locally, but I've been slammed at work today.

It hasn't been mentioned on the local news so it's probably not true.

Well that sort of happens here in Canukistan, except the gun's come from the U.S. Mostly, the gangsters are using the guns to shoot each other up and very rarely does joe citizen have to worry too much. It is a different country though and I can understand that.

Lol ive driven through. Im glad i dont live there solely because of the psychopaths operating on the clusterf*ck of roads theyve got going on there. Seriously I was almost killed like thrice by whackos shooting gaps. On a single evening. Cannot imagine making that commute daily.

All over the local news here in Dallas, they should be in town by now, not sure what time the event starts but DPD has the entire area under heavy guard.

I was wrong. Bush, Obama and Biden will be in attendance. Not Hillary, though. Whew.

LOL I ride my Harley in that traffic with those whackos to and from work nearly every day. Not so bad once you get used to it. But not for the faint of heart.

WAXAHACHIE -- The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) said seven suspects broke into a gun store and stole 17 firearms early Sunday, including four high powered rifles.

The ATF says 12 handguns, 3 AR style high powered rifles, 1AK style high powered rifle and 1 shotgun were reported stolen. No cash was taken.

Doesn't this strike you as rather specific? They could maybe have taken a hell of a lot more, maybe they took just what they needed for a specific job?

No money taken, this indicates that money wasn't an issue, just untraceable guns. So probably not a robbery to order.

Hmmm

Just got an update on the DFW scanner page there were shots fired at officers in Ellis county, just south of Ennis (for those not from the area this is a short drive from Waxahachie where these firearms were stolen from)...

No other word yet, just the update of shots fired at officers and no officers hurt.

A similar hit happened in Houston earlier this year. It's easier to mark it down to organized crime, as opposed to attempting to link to a social movement.

You may well be right and I do hope you are.

But I think, for LEO, it seems foolish to discount that it may possibly be related. Given the proximity and timing. TBH, I'm kind of surprised that anyone would pull this kind of crime at this time, in that area. It's ballsy.

Honestly, I'd be shocked if law enforcement discounts it at all. The need to cover all angles and that sort of thing.

Yeah I was eating lunch at Bombshells in Dallas down the road from Love Field and saw the motorcade today, took a moment of my lunch break to give bozo a one finger solute. My Buddies are down there now with the GTFO Texas protesters. He really is not welcome here. DHS guys gave me a dirty look because they were posted up in the parking areas of my office and I just road my motorcycle past them between the SUVs LOL (Ohh but the restaurant was nice and offered them ice water being as it is hot out)

I agree. Hell, Chief Brown says he and his men have been getting death threats.

They need to stay alert!
