My Life Story - Gay feelings & Islam, What to do next ??

Hi guys, I've wrote down the story of my life, all the things that I've been through. It was pretty rough to call back all the emotions I had during these experiences. It's a little long so u can read it on the next link. I'd love to hear ur thoughts and comments on it. I've got no one to talk to about it and I'm in need of some other thoughts than the ones that I'm having myself all the time. So I'm hoping to take some people on a journey through my life and put u guys in the situation I am at this moment to see what u would do next.

Don't travel to a Muslim country and say you are gay, that would be my advice. Some laws in these places are a bit Mediaeval and religious people can be very intolerant, which is a bit ironic.

My advice is to live the life you want to. You only have one life and if you are dishonest to yourself then it'll be wasted. At the end of the day, God will decide whether being gay is bad. If God is who people say he is, then it's what you do with your life that counts.

As your abusive father demonstrated, a heterosexual relationship not based on love is much worse than a successful gay or lesbian relationship. If there is just God, then all these women haters and batterers are in for a bad time, but all those gay people in loving relationships should be OK. That's the way I would think about it.

Pity Islam is steeped in women and gay hating.

I honestly feel SAD for your situation, but you must soldier on, and believe in yourself and your want's and need's, not other negatives you have experienced. If there is an allah, and he is fair, he will understand and forgive your anguish. I married into a muslim family, and after a few years knew it was NOT for me. Family violence is a big part of islam, and unfortunately many family's are traumatized by violence due to the submissive demands that islam and male muslims demand. I had to physically eject my brother-inlaw when he hit his mother in my house, i made sure he never returned.These assults are rerely spoken about as you would know. It's unfortunate that the belief's and practices of islam are embedded in the time machine of history and will never be revised. Yes you can. In Indonesia the capital city of Jakarta is a haven for gay people. Many clubs and places to hang out. The LGBA people are many,they stick together, and are left alone by the govt.authorities and police. And they are muslim.

Follow the golden path no matter how human religions confuse you.

True evil hides in the details and the reason humanity is so insane is that most religious books who are supposed to make you gain insight/awareness does the opposite and in fact increases the corruption and confusion.

You want to say that practicing homosexual Muslims in Indonesia are acceptable, then that's fine, simple that they won't be recognized by the mainstream Muslim community
If homosexual Christians want to practice homosexuality then the church would have to turn them away

Does the government recognize them as gay Christians, yeah fine, the government are not the church, the government accept Scientology, they don't care

Bro if you ask this question on a predominantly atheist website, you should know what kind of answers you are going to get... Most will tell you to just go for it and to follow your desires. Just know that you are being tested with a very big test.
Big tests = Big rewards, if u succeed.

Since you believe in God and believe he is capable of all things I would advice you to ask him to make you feel attracted to women instead of men. Keep on asking until he answers you, also keep in mind that certain sins block your supplications from being accepted. So try to cut on the porn if you want a bigger chance of your supplications to be accepted, also increase your good deeds and ask a lot of forgiveness.

there is something wrong with the site this Tempor has linked too. After reading his story on that website one comenter says he will offer a dua which according to the member I will link you too below it is a spell.

I went to the linked site. Where he joined yesterday and posted the same as above. So I went browsing the website and found a place were in the third comment down a Muslim was commenting about giving people black magic spells for what ever problem in life you have. qa.islam.com...=0 go to the third post from the top.

I am not sure but I thought Islam discourages the use of magic and spells. They have even killed people for being witches and sorcerers.

I read your link, and know that what I am about to comes from experience, compassion, and that most difficult place of all, reason. It is this:

There is what you Are, and there is what you Believe. Believe what you will, but you must Live as what you Are. To do otherwise is to live a lie.

Others may tell you what to believe, and may be very convincing, but only You know what makes you who you are, and no one, not you, not even the God (if there be such a thing) who made you, can change that.

Consider, whatever concept of God you may hold, made you as you are, why would He/She/It change that...or want You, His/Her creation, to change?

You have suffered trauma in your short life, trauma that has led you to doubt yourself. Do not inflict more pain upon yourself because you are told that you deserve to be abused.

Im intrested why did you tell your "story" on a muslim web site then come to ATS and advertise the web site. If you are muslim that religion forbits homosexuals, so just chouse what you want, freedom or the restrants of religion. BTW the web site you gave seems strange to me

It doesn't matter at all. You love nobody, so keep it to yourself. Once this is about more than lust you will know.
So make your peace with yourself and once you find the person which just completes you and takes your breath away and which makes you happy it won't be a question anymore.
Lust is a sin, no matter if hetero or gay.
Love is a gift, no matter if hetero or gay.

I found that it was not the partner that completes oneself but it is Children that complete you. If you have had some or when you do, you will know what I mean.

You can be gay AND Muslim, there is no cosmic forces preventing gay people from loving Islam.

You can be anything you want. Free will. It won't be popular but so what? Who cares what other people think?

Just because you or anyone else, says that you can't be gay and Muslim doesn't make it so.

Christians can be gay too.

I don't think you understand how free will works. You can go against the Quran and still be a Muslim. It is done everyday just like in Christianity nobody follows what it says 100%.

A book does not rule actions it just says stuff and people read it. Doesn't mean everybody actually does everything in it.

I get the feeling that you don't like gays, Muslims or Scientologists.

You will say that you don't dislike the people just what they are about but that is always b.s. when a person says that because the person whose lifestyle you dislike has rights and you don't want to be labeled as hateful.

But I can tell you are a very judgemental person. At least against Muslims, gays and Scientologists.

ALLAH IS the cosmic force if you are a true Muslim!

I'm not trying to flame here but serious question:
How can a gay person be part of a faith which states a homosexual should be stoned?

That aside, a verse from the Quran for which a similar exists in Christianity:
""...For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds.... And we rained down on them a shower (of brimstone)""

I'm sorry but this is like the gay people with ChristianMingle. If the religion clearly forbids homosexuality and you're a homosexual, you are not being true to your religion. In this sense, I do not believe you are a Christian nor Muslim if you're gay.

I would like to add I honestly have no problems with homosexuals at all. I actually have more of a problem with Islam and Christianity but ... it's disgraceful to people that do take those religions seriously to think you deserve to be part of it if you're gay.

This is like me sacrificing my children to Satan and calling myself a Christian.
Like ya, I worship Satan but I want to call myself Christian so HEY I am!

How can someone not see the hypocrisy?
