It is a terrorist act.

A terrorist act is use of violence in order to obtain goals that are political, religious or ideological in nature.

And that's what we have here. Black guys killing white officers in order to prove that black lives matter?

ever since Domo said something about him knowing something was up i've been wondering about that. was he just covering his A@@ and Dallas Action Coalition's,or did he come to that knowledge second hand.

either way he should have told police and called off the protest.

So he (they?) wanted to kill whites and had hatred for BLM.

Also, blowing up a suspect...
I wonder what training session that came from!?!

It's the one where if somebody is holed up in a defensible position and still has the means to continue killing, and the intent to do so, you do what you have to do to neutralize him instead of acting like its the battle of the Somme.

Yes, defined by the "authorities", as according to their PC orders.

But we all know what it really is.

You sound like an apologist, Hazardous1408

By the way, I couldn't care less about what you want to hear from me or not.

Stop. No one is shaming white people or gun owners. Discussing racial issues and gun violence is not shaming.

I think you missed the post I was replying to. I said I was going to stay inside today. Guy said you don't have to if you're the right color. I'm white. The people wanted to kill white people. The gun thing was an off hand jab at Obama and was a little much.

That or I replied to the wrong post. I don't know, I haven't slept.

If one officer was shot, would it have still been a "terrorist act"? What's the threshold?

Just getting on here since last night and I see there's over 40 new pages and it seems this story is all over the place now. I'm off to work in a few minutes and I was wondering if someone could give me a quick recap of where everything is at at this point... greatly appreciated.

They could have waited him out instead of murdering him with a bomb....

....For the sake of gaining information for their investigation, which IS THEIR ACTUAL JOB....

Or are they just out to kill people because they CAN ?.

Hopefully they don't start sending bombs into houses to blow people up when they have the wrong address for a report of someone acting erratically, which frequently is called a standoff situation and only found to be somebody who had a brain fart and needed some time to cool off.

it doesn't appear it mattered to him anyway, if he had any clue or idea that this was going to happen.
second hand or not he owed his people a safe peaceful protest as well as could be expected, if he came upon the knowledge during the march, at the very least he should have said something even if he had to announce it during the march to people over a bull horn.

that might have caused panic, but at least people and police would have known.

Not sure if anybody has mentioned this yet as I was a little busy overnight and into the early morning, but we can add Dallas to the list of reasons why agencies are obtaining military grade gear.

Initial officers were both overwhelmed and outgunned. Gonna have a hard time now arguing with agencies to give up their patrol rifles or carbines, body armor, etc.

Motivation. I think this sort of qualifies. Trying to scare cops and people who support them. Scaring people into doing what you want them to do. It seems like haterrism to me (if that becomes a word I'm going to be so pissed).

The actual job is to eliminate the threat.

Which they did.

Not what happened. Changa spoke to a protester after the shooting who said he talked to one of the shooters.

Yeah it wasn't a dig, Shamrock mate...

I was genuinely unsure.

I could imagine there is procedure for such scenarios.

Thanks for explaining.

If he was cornered he was no longer a threat. I suppose they could have gassed him without killing him too.

Yes?.

Have they released any info on the suspects yet? They were pretty quick to post a picture of some random black guy but now that one of the shooters is dead we still have no info.

Personal attacks already?

How grown up.

It matters not if you couldn't care less, you're gonna receive my opinion when you spout drivel.
Suck it up.

Yes, they said they didn't have a choice. The negotiations didn't work and the threat had to be eliminated.
