I agree, for the most part there is little reaoect for each other left in thia country or for the rule of law. The former due to decades of divide and conquer strategies by the rulers of this land and the latter by 50 years of prohibition. In fact, if I really had to get to the root of the decay of society it would be prohibition and the drug war. I think moat of what we see today is a consequence of that.

Not the local Dallas news that had a film crew there and showed the people talking to the police waiting for buses outside the 7-11. But I guess you saw a different spin on it. Looters.

Whomever that was was military trained. Im not saying 'in' the military, just military trained to shoot and move.

you can learn that stuff at airsoft, what you cant teach is the hate or willingness to follow through without paralyzing fear of the consequences

The fact that they haven't just taken the guy out suggest that they take his threat of bombs seriously right?

I'm finding it more and more astounding that ALL the suspects are alive. And 3 just sitting quiet in custody. As if they were prepared to be arrested? It just makes no sense.

They have to take the threats seriously until the room the shooter is in is cleared. One just never knows.

Coming in late and it's been hard to follow, but i'm going out on a limb in saying the gunshots I've heard of the videos are a full auto AK being fired in fairly controlled bursts. Still trying to look at the videos. Never fired a full auto but the shots (not a fast round, duller boom compared to a sharper crack) and rate of fire sound right and you can almost hear the bolt of the AK. Nothing about what i've seen so far strikes me as police revenge or anything.

Update: Saw another video that I can hear multiple guns firing and there is certainly a full auto with semi auto fire coming from the rest. I test fired firearms in my last job and i've heard that noise a bunch. I'll bet a tinfoil hat on it.

I bet you are right.

When I heard that, the shots in all the bursts were at the same rate of fire, I thought.

And they were pretty big sounding calibers.

Just browsing youtube live streams, there's a lot of reactions from 'protest communities' cheering this on. Sick.

Maybe flashbangs, maybe controlled explosions? They are searching for bombs at the moment I guess.

I'm tellin' ya, shooter seemed way too cool under fire like that.

Tells me that it was no street gangbanger cop hater.

There's 2 things I noticed in the video.

1 - The shooter was aware of his surroundings. When the cameraman ducked, it looked (to me) the shooter saw the cameraman standing on the roof and shot at him. Considering the shooter was already shooting at officers outside of the view of the camera, and took the time to look around and spot someone on top of a roof across the street, they had to have a sense of being calm and aware in a firefight.

2 - When the officer attempts to come up behind the shooter and takes cover a pillar behind him, the officer leans out to the right side of the pillar, looks to open fire, and the shooter immediately spins around and shoots back. The officer then ducks behind the pillar for cover, then leans back out to the same right side of the pillar to shoot again, but the shooter dodges and rushes to the opposite side of the pillar the officer is leaning out of and shoots him multiple times in the back.

Imagine if you are Castile's or Sterling's family member? Or a young, optimistic but maybe naive or unsophisticated BLM supporter or supportive college kid. All of this angst and sense of injustice just utterly suspended and hijacked. Talk about cognitive dissonance. No doubt about it, tonight has been an absolute cultural mind # so many levels.

- people protesting the police suddenly in desperate need of police protection.
- police worried about protesters only to be attacked by - let's face it - TERORISTS
- we had the horror porn of the shootings being played over and over today only to be replaced by images of basically combat on the streets of a major American city



Tomorrow will dawn an entirely new paradigm in this country. And I didn't even touch on the political hot button issues of this week.
