Are you sure it was just the bacon and eggs? What happened before the eggs?

If it wasn't fried potatoes, I'd be very disappointed.

"The four pieces of bacon or you're a cheapskate"
So true, so true.... I have just come home from three weeks at a 4 star resort in Phuket Thailand. On the 5th morning of buffet breakfast when i asked for two extra pieces of bacon it had "disappeared off the menu"!! A 4star resort being a bloody cheapskate with their bacon, left me dumbfounded........

The folds in a French chef's hat represent the number of ways you must learn to cook eggs. I wonder if hubcap over barrel fire is one of them?

Starred and flagged in honor of my dad, who ranted about the same thing for years! Heck, I don't even eat fried eggs, but I can cook one over medium! Limp bacon was another problem for him and my mom. It's just not done, it if doesn't crisp when off the heat! Hard to find a good breakfast place.

I don't understand why people like raw. Especially rare beef. Parasites come from uncooked stuff. People died from mad cow disease infection due to rare meats. Western civilization is completely backwards. You can even look at the French seafood section. In reality we cannot eat raw oysters. If you watch how it was made. They have to decontaminate the raw oysters to make it edible. You try eating them raw without the decontamination process your just poisoning yourself.

Salmonella. It's been an increasing risk for some time. No restaurant wants to be liable.

And the parsley has great stuff in it for your body, as well as your breath.

But maybe, if you are a regular somewhere, a chat with the manager or the cook could help.

Cooking does not kill/disable the prions in mad cow disease. They could evidently survive a blast furnace, IIRC.

I've always experienced the same problem, and been surprised that no one else seemed to care.

Incineration does destroy them..... burning them to ash. That is the only effective method IIRC.

As a former breakfast cook... Shut up.

If you've never done it you don't know.

Save yourself the 5$ and cook your own if your such an expert .

I have never worked as a cook.
I can cook an over medium egg correctly. It isn't rocket science.

I cooked for years, eggs are one of the first things you learn how to prepare. This is how the boss-lady likes her eggs since she doesn't like runny egg whites. Me, I like mine sunny side up. With crispy bacon. Six pieces, minimum.

And maybe some homemade hash browns.

Cooking an egg that long is the equivalent of ordering a steak well-done.

You destroy the flavor and the texture.

If you can't cook eggs over medium properly you have no business calling yourself a "breakfast cook." I'm the customer. I want eggs over medium. The restaurant pretends to know what this means and accepts the order. You either cook them correctly or I won't be back. For the record, I was a cook for over a year and I do know how to cook eggs over medium, so, yes, I DO know, and if you don't you ought not to be there.

Yeah the whites are never cooked I ask for " over easy" . It's a quick flip to cook the white on top of the yolk but keeps the yoke runny. Not sure what your terms are in America.

Actually you're supposed to cook eggs over low heat.
Personally, I like them dropped in the pan the bacon was cooked in.

I'm craving bacon and eggs now!
