Very damning ...

Clinton did the same thing Rice did the same thing Powell did.

At least she didn't delete 22,000,000 emails in the midst of a Congressional investigation ...

Never mind that former Secretary of State Colin Powell, a Republican, has said he used a system similar to Clinton’s — and never mind that in 2007 Karl Rove deleted 22 million emails from a private server in the Bush White House — a matter about which the Beltway media said little and Republicans in Congress, like Rep. John Boehner, said nothing.

And at least she wasn't a NATO General who was conspiring against his country and his Commander in Chief when his GMAIL account was hacked ...

The emails, posted by the site DCLeaks, show correspondence between General Philip M. Breedlove, former head of the US European Command and supreme commander of NATO forces, with several establishment insiders concerning the situation in Ukraine following the February 2014 coup that ousted the elected government in favor of a US-backed regime, according to reports.

This nation is broken.

Same organization which spent countless hours going after teenagers for "illegal" music downloads a decade ago now apparently sees no reason to follow through on Hillary. They sure as hell see a reason, there's simply too much corruption, too many people paid off, too many people with skin in the game to proceed further.

The rules don't apply to the elite. We already knew that but the elite are getting braver and braver and putting it all right out in front of us.

Just to clarify: I am NOT a Hillary supporter. I am just looking at the legalities of the situation, and I don't think the FBI Director could have recommended indictment based on the evidence and precedent. If it was Trump, I'd have to say the same thing, and I LOATHE Trump.

I was excited to vote in 2008, less excited in 2012, and I positively dread voting in this election. I still am not sure what I'm going to do. I know I'm not voting for Trump, but other than that....

Hating Hillary. It's a thing

Earlier I said she was evil incarnate - and that I wasn't even going to get into all that... but I said that tongue in cheek

I've yet to vote in an election where I felt really, truly and solidly good about a candidate

This election I won't struggle. I'm not here to proselytize. Especially not for a candidate that is so obviously loathed. But - I think it's worth thinking about which candidate required a steady stream of memes to turn your stomach

I've never been more clear in my head about my choice as I am in this election

I feel like a bleeding wound in a tank full of piranhas right now - but, there it is

:-)

eta: I think a lot of us wanted to go another way - but our options are few

There are many here that would watch America burn to the ground simply to know that their political "team" won.

That is what things have come to. Win at all cost, regardless of the consequences. The gridlock in congress is a prime example of putting party politics before the needs of the American people and the country.

And the party members -- aka the people -- they support their "team" doing it.

LOL ... right ... because Rice, Powell and Rove/Bush/Cheney are Republicans?

Wrong is wrong. Illegal is illegal.

If the HIllary snipe hunt isn't purely political, and all of you SOOOO incensed that someone is getting away with using private emails ... I'm sure you're going to widen the net, right?

If you want my honest opinion. The above is POLITICAL TROLLING.

Because it doesn't have ANYTHING to do with a FBI 'press conference' in 2016 just in time to 'settle' the issue before the DNC nomination.

No.
Their emails were classified retroactively.

I have no problem admitting I was mistaken thinking the FBI would recommend indictment.

Will Introvert admit he was totally wrong for the last year insisting that nothing was classified until after it left Hillarys server?

The FBI also discovered several thousand work-related e-mails that were not in the group of 30,000 that were returned by Secretary Clinton to State in 2014. We found those additional e-mails in a variety of ways. Some had been deleted over the years and we found traces of them on devices that supported or were connected to the private e-mail domain. Others we found by reviewing the archived government e-mail accounts of people who had been government employees at the same time as Secretary Clinton, including high-ranking officials at other agencies, people with whom a Secretary of State might naturally correspond.
...
Our assessment is that, like many e-mail users, Secretary Clinton periodically deleted e-mails or e-mails were purged from the system when devices were changed. Because she was not using a government account—or even a commercial account like Gmail—there was no archiving at all of her e-mails, so it is not surprising that we discovered e-mails that were not on Secretary Clinton’s system in 2014, when she produced the 30,000 e-mails to the State Department.

It could also be that some of the additional work-related e-mails we recovered were among those deleted as “personal” by Secretary Clinton’s lawyers when they reviewed and sorted her e-mails for production in 2014.
...
It is also likely that there are other work-related e-mails that they did not produce to State and that we did not find elsewhere, and that are now gone because they deleted all e-mails they did not return to State, and the lawyers cleaned their devices in such a way as to preclude complete forensic recovery.

There is just something highly offensive about this coming the day after Independence Day.

They better be careful. When they violate the rule of law, people pay attention. And when the nation at large loses faith in the idea that we are all one nation of the people, for the people, by the people, our next revolt my look a lot like what happened in France.

I don't think anyone wants that. It ultimately gave the world Napoleon, but don't tell me the lyrics in that song aren't getting to be prescient.

Actually that is quite correct...

All the Hillerites that use Powell/Rice will never answer that very important question... where exactly were Powell and Rices emails located that were retroactively classified by the government?

I will give you a hint:

The government can only retroactively classify information if the government has previously released that same information as unclassified. That is the big difference between Powell/Rice and Clinton.

Doesn't matter because she was not indicted; that's all it matters according to some ATS members.

She was caught LYING, yet AGAIN. Honestly, what's up with the clinton family, they just can't catch a break...

Yea umm no... he said there wasnt enough evidence that is not the same...

Also in this particular area criminal intent is not needed, ignorance is not a defense for anyone when it comes to mishandling classified material.

My guess... those email chains he kept referencing linked several high members of the govt to this mishandling... probably people they could not go after, so they had to let them all go.

I think it's a perfect reminder that both parties are corrupt and that they get away with criminal activity -- and that's a sentiment that bears repeating, again and again.

I also remember the Rod Blagojevich indictment involving the selling of Obama's old Senate seat and believed the Obama administration got away with their part in that pay-to-play scheme.

I've had so many disappointments in so many republicans and democrats, over the years. The sooner we point our collective finger at both parties, the better.
