A tear rolled down her cheek
For one she never knew
She was unaware and did not seek
Their interactions had been few
She grieved for one she never met
Yet perhaps had in another life
Misery lingered quite upset
Her heart trembled in unrelenting strife
Darkness surrounded yeilding anguish
For he who lurked beyond
The despair would do nought but languish
The man in the shadows would abscond
She wrote pages upon pages
Attempting to expound her grief
An eternal flame lingered about the ages
Saddened no longer for newfound belief
The tears vanished from her face
As swiftly as they had arrived
Regressive memories would not misplace
The keen instinct she felt revived
For they had met once before
She knew this deep within her soul
To the very heavens such things she swore
And she would happily pay the toll
So further deeper and down
The girl sank into regression
For memories she would rather drown
Would ultimately lead to her ascension
