BLM cannot operate anything other than the major social media sites that can be used on a mobile phone.

SJW is a Ponzi scheme. Create problems to be hired by society to fix the problems instead of getting a job doing something useful. Fire fighters being arsonists since they need money.

People who fight for real equality all over the world are my heroes. But that means trying to change humanity from following insane ideas who create duality separation between groups of people (us vs them) and old customs that cause suffering to people.

Third wave Feminazi are the perfect example. If there is no problem with a Patriarchy in the west import the problem from other places so that money can be made battling it, instead of battling the Patriarchy where it exists in non western countries and liberating all humanity from real misogyny.

The Black Lives Matter Toronto group has come under fire over a tweet by one of its co-founders.

The way I see it BLM acted like a jealous sibling.They had their moment in the sun now it's time for the other minorities to have their say. I Imagine there is black LGBT's out there and I imagine that the BLM movement would get tongue tied if they found out they stopped fellow African Americans from marching for a cause they believed in.

I was born and raised in Toronto and wasn't aware the BLM Movement even existed here until seeing it yesterday on the local news concerning the 35th annual Toronto Pride Parade being interrupted by a 30 minute sit in that ended peacefully. After all, we don't have a history of serious race and bigotry issues here that warrant the existence of such an organization. We do have small issues, but being the most multi-culturally diverse city on the entire planet, arose from being a very tolerant society. In saying that, on the surface level, I found the "sit in" and their demands to be ironic considering BLM were an invited honoured guest of the Toronto Pride Parade (biggest in N.America, btw) by the organizers.

The treatment of the LGBT community by Black Lives Matter is completely disgusting.

I wouldn't go as far as labelling it "completely disgusting" without further investigation. After all, we operate differently here in Canada than the States, even when it comes to the BLM Movement, its members and their demands.

I'm not condoning the sit in but, at least the BLM protest had people who are part of the LGBT community participating towards their cause that revolved around LGBT community issues. From what I have read so far in news reports: the sit in by BLM at the Toronto Pride Parade consisted of demands regarding people of colour (including S.Asian) who are part of the LGBT community. Again, the sit in revolved around issues close to the LGBT community. After all, the Pride Event stands for unity - not exclusion.

Here is a list of their demands presented at the sit in yesterday which I find reasonable for the most part except the issue and demands revolving around the Toronto Metro Police. The officers enjoy participating in the parade and there are many officers who are part of the LGBT community themselves:

However, the agreement to the demands by the organizers were made under duress and most likely will not be held up in court.

BLM has become a racially motivated agitator group. When is the MSM going to start talking about this instead of giving them a free pass? Nobody else could get away with this.

Upon reading that, the words of Evelyn Beatrice Hall come to mind:

I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Censorship is not healthy in a free society no matter what the message is...

UPDATE - Pride director: Black Lives Matter Toronto can't dictate floats

Pride Toronto executive director Mathieu Chantelois says no final decisions have been made after he signed an agreement mid-parade Sunday with Black Lives Matter Toronto protesters that includes several demands, including banning police floats in the future.

“Black Lives Matter is not going to tell us that there is no more floats anymore in the parade,” Chantelois said in an interview Monday on local news station CP24.

“Pride is bigger than Black Lives Matter,” he added. “That is the kind of decision that needs to be made by the community.”

Apparently a part of the "agreement" the Pride Toronto Director was forced to sign after BLM threatened to halt the parade, was that Police floats would be banned from every future Pride parade.

The level of lunacy coming from this group never ceases to amaze me.

It's beyond childish.

Many of the police at Toronto Pride are volunteers who are LGBT Torontonians themselves. This event is far more about them than it is about a fringe group citing Trayvon Martin, a circumstance that happened in Florida and had absolutely nothing to do with the LGBT community.

MLK would weep if he witnessed how these entitled children are exploiting the privileges they have been provided.

Do these stupid kids honestly think they are going to successfully bar gay people from a gay parade because "black lives matter"?

Your argument seems to boil down to ... you're offended by some things that BLM did, but not others because these BLM members were also LGBT.

In most ways, what they did would be considered a counter-demonstration ... the fact that they interfered in an event that they had been invited to participate in (in good will) should fall under basic etiquette but since we don't have that anymore the fact that they hadn't presented these "demands" to Toronto Pride at any point ... suggests more of an authoritarian power-play than a genuine address of grievances.

In my opinion, the Parade should have marched around them, and kept going.

So two thoughts...

1) Why does BLM think Canadian police are as bad as their flawed opinion of American police?

Toronto hosts one of the largest gay pride events in the world. It's huge for tourism and helps stimulate local business.

This year's event stretched over the entire month of June, with the streets in the gayberhood closed down for the past week.

It's essentially a big street party; not unlike mardi gras.
