I was just wondering.
I know things are HORRIBLE for many caught in the middle, the national news has made a mockery of us all.
I want to hear what HARM has been done to YOU on a personal level.
I KNOW I am probably THE last person on this board you would respond to because of my warrior nature but We hear ALL about the villians and what it has done against us but WHAT do the Jihads do to YOU?
What does it mean?
A while back a Muslim lady expressed FEAR in my personal mail about how threatened she felt.
I want to do the usual and bust heads to set people straight as usual but THAT is taken away by laws and SHE is far from me to help ...NOT to mention the trust issue ,I look nasty like I feel existentially lately.
Tell YOUR story here please.

Like moderate voters? If so, I'm doing pretty good. I wish the GOP would put forth a decent Presidential candidate some day, but other than that I'm doing well.

The only reason I feel I'm moderate is because I find both parties have some good and some bad ideas on fiscal issues and how to run the country. On social issues, I'm much more liberal.

The moderates are the ones whom need protecting and the support of freedom-loving human beings. Any enemy of Islamism needs to stand up for their voices most of all, for they are the only ones who can change it.

Tell YOUR story here please.

I had a nervous breakdown when I was 50. Actually a break from reality due to severe alcohol and drug abuse and through that experience, more clinically known as an anxiety disorder, I discovered that I had a serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and most importantly, the wisdom to know the difference. With that realization came a, grace and ability to observe and be entertained by everything in my field of contact.

I'm blessed, extremely lucky in love and games of chance, finally at Peace with myself.

Woah. Edumakation.

I had come to recognise 'Moderate' as only slightly less extreme, but pretty much still fanatical.

So, this is a blanket term now, to cover the everyday Muslim?

If so, I think that's fairly immoral. Gives the impression that all Muslims are, well, what I stated above.

Maybe I'm just slow to click, but I'm pretty sure 'Moderate', in this context, didn't mean what it means now. Reckon I can call Mandela Effect on that?

As a moderate I can say that I find myself getting washed up in the ISIS hysteria along with most others. I try and keep my perspective about it, but its sough on days like Orlando or Paris.

Do I look at a Muslim person( even saying it like that sounds like bigotry, how do I know what a muslim looks like?) and worry if they could be a terrorist? No. To be honest, the more research Ive put into ISIS, the less I've found it has to do with Islam. these are whackjobs who take tenets of a religion and use it to their purpose. Would I ever convert if told to? No, no one will ever tell me what to believe. But Im also not running to the store and buying all the ammunition I can get my hands on.

My go bag is always packed, but not because ISIS scares me. More for the masses' reaction that scares me.

The billion or more of them that go about their day to day lives and do not care about this nonsense.

I doubt Ali cared all that much. Sure wouldn't have argued with him in his floating/stinging days.

Depends

If you're a liberal, you can define words however you want as long as it suits the propaganda you need to spread. Moderate can mean whatever you want it to mean as long as it doesn't mean what it's supposed to mean.

I know hostility is rampant, for MY part in it I'm sorry.
Some hippies are going for 1984 and I am fighting P.C. tooth and nail where ever I can.
ANY anger YOU have felt may be for your expressed IDEAS only not because you're a muslim.

And STOP listening to "NORMAL" popular cultural influences, some are disgusting.
BTW I didn't KNOW this was your faith...

You're right it IS immoral to use a blanket term in these times,we are intelligent enough to know better.
We in the west can't seperate the hostiles from the friendlies here and it is screwed.
NOW I hear we are going to see Son's of Odin rolling in,if they start bullying innocent people, aka MODERATES they will fine we hate the noise.
It isn't about aleinating muslims at all it's TARGETING we (I) want.
Muslims have been living in America peacefully for DECADES.

Let's be clear here, there is only one degree of separation between a radical Muslim and a fundamental Christian.

That degree so far anyway has been the lack of organised Christian terror groups attacking us. But in the aftermath of the Orlando incident and how some , I repeat SOME , not all, Christan's acted we're not that far from seeing it happen.
