The Minecraft movie will be released on May 24, 2019! The film will also be released in 3D & IMAX.

Yes, that might seem like a long time away, but it just so happens to be the right amount of time to make it completely awesome. And we all want an awesome Minecraft movie, right?

Microsoft owns this game... so they have the money to do it...

i mean they paid 2.5 billion for the game... and im sure they got a return mighty quick

That Microsoft is milking it for everything it's got.

I dabble in Minecraft whenever the mood strikes me, and I'll be encouraging my son to get creative with it when he's older. But really, is a movie really necessary? For that matter, was the RPG really necessary?

My son would really love this. Right now. In three years, I'm sure he will have outgrown minecraft.

There is a huge child audience for this at the moment, but they are making a mistake by waiting too long. I'm sure it will do well anyway, but now would have been the time to strike.

Not quite, for most, anyway, and the adult son plays, too! been considering it myself, actually. Always like games where we can create things.
