yea the story sounds fishy to me to. now i have not doubt that the girl got hurt on the trip. and yes they ( the school chaperones) handled it wrong.

one thing that people aren't talking about as noted in one of the articles posted by Dreamwatcher the chaperone that put the petroleum jelly on and gave her the ibuprofen, was a physician.

"The student received first aid treatment immediately after the accident by a parent chaperon who is also a physician, and she was able to enjoy the remained of the field trip, which lasted through the next day," Counsellor said.

Let's just get the facts first. None of this has been proven and we already have guys threatening to break T&C because they can't handle the posters that aren't yet buying this as a "racial attack."

Did she go tell a teacher or did she hide it until her mom picked her up? Why did she attend the after school event if the three white guys that always bullied her, one of the only black girls, were also going to be there? Too much here doesn't add up. I'd have to view this story without the need for proof or facts and have some race goggles on to see this from your angle.

Had this been caused by bullying, something would have been said. No kid is going to get jerked backwards by a rope and nothing be done about it. Normally being jerked by a rope leaves a bruise, not a cut, and you'd have to be jerked pretty hard. Like you, I think she slipped on that swing, or possibly something else. I just have a very hard time buying that she was almost "hung" by kids that hate her for being black, and she stuck around without saying a word. That's like your bully flashing a knife at you and swinging the blade at you, nicking your skin. You're not just gonna write it off and go about your business.

if you listen to the girl in the video i posted. she said there was a rope that they were pulling to swing others.
if you look at the picture i posted of what is suppose to be the swing we see no rope attached to the swing other than the rope that it is hanging on.

now SJW's are gonna want to say that someone removed the rope to hide evidence, i think more than likely the guy that owns the ranch where the camp out took place removed the rope after the lawyer accused him of of knowing it was unsafe. as noted in one of the articles that.

The lawsuit also claims the swing on Germer’s property was unsafe and Germer knew of the risk to children but did nothing to eliminate the risk.
Family of injured Live Oak Classical School student sues school, field trip host

now i eluded to the fact that she was on the ground once, after thinking about the rope that she said they were pulling back and forth to swing people with, i can now see her walking into it while they were pulling it causing the rope burn. you know like being cloths lined, that would explain just the front and one side having rope burns and not both sides.

i still can't imagine her standing there and a rope placed around her neck and not fight against it or not being able to know for sure who did it. surly if she didn't see them they would made noise or said something during what she said happened, and if they bullied her, she would know the sound of their voices.

Yeah she didn't even see who did it. In this day and age, why should we believe, without the shadow of a doubt, that these kids did this. A rope would have had to slide against her neck to make the mark that it made. A jerk backwards would have bruised at worst.

I despise bullies and have let it be known to them that if I ever get a call to the school about them bullying another kid, I'd whoop their ass so they couldn't sit down for a week. I'll reserve my pity for this girl until I can get some facts because nothing she says adds up. Reminds me of the time I was in Kindergarten and told my parents I finally beat up the kid bullying me, he'd always punch me in the stomach. Told them I punched him to the moon.

I thought this was all sorted out as a non issue last year when it happened. So now it takes $$$$ to make it all better. Frigging snowflakes and their lawyers I'm glad I'm out of a business dealing with the public.

To add my last business I sold is closing because a lawyer proved the grass was too tall and won a suit because a kid tripped and hit her head causing permanent damage to her face, neck and back. NOT!!

The statement also said the attorney is trying to “exploit” the 100th anniversary “of the lynching of Jesse Washington in Waco.” The statement said the girl’s attorney, Levi McCathern, who also represents the Dallas Cowboys, asked the school to pay $2.7 million or he would make the allegations public.

Blackmail anyone?

You people are delusional.

You have no quarrel with a young girl being assaulted and even go outright to say that "it didn't happen as explained," and by using what system? By examining a #ing picture and saying "those injuries don't match?"

Are you serious? But what upsets you is the fact that someone is "blackmailing," a school that DID NOT NOTIFY THE PARENTS OF A STUDENT THAT WAS ATTACKED?

Wow. Absolutely unreal.

So you know for a fact she was assaulted... and "lynched"?

Care to share the facts the rest of us might not be privy to...

Innocent till proven guilty and all that...

In that age group.. I am still going to roll with kids being kids and things went in an unexpected direction..

If she's standing in the seat the rope is taut, right? How is it "running down around her neck" ? Unless someone wrapped it around her neck ...

Have you ever had anyone wrap a rope around your neck? What were your thoughts?

We used to wind-up tree swings to see how fast we could get them to spin.

I've seen people get stuck in the rope that way.

Oh look at all those cute bigots coming in here telling us its really not racist, its just kids being kids, good to see the excuse squad come in as usual, yea those blacks are making stuff up for a free pay checks.

I never get enough of the poor us white folks, its so harsh being white these days.

If that was my daughter those dads would of had a visit, maybe with some extra curricular activities.

Having lived in Central Texas for 14 years everyone knows in the area the racial current and past history of discrimination in Waco. So there is some guilt by association going on here.

i think my sh@@ don't stink, doesn't make so now does it. just like her saying she thinks it was done on purpose, doesn't mean it was.

she herself said no one saw them do it. not even her.

No need for psychic abilities, just need to the read the replies, sounds like a bunch of snowflakes using excuses to explain kids did nothing wrong.

You seem to know as much as me, but you claim to be right, playing the victim card is so in.

Funny thing, there's no way I can see from your angle because I'm dealing with rational facts that there is no dispute on according to the article:

1. The wounds were caused by others attacking her from behind with a rope. (The school does not dispute)

2. There is physical evidence of the wound that is not consistent with the girl "tripping against it." (Common sense.)

3. You're making this just as much a racial issue as anyone here, and then damning others for doing so. (Hypocrisy.)

4. The school did not contact the girl's parent when it became aware that she had been seriously hurt. (Undisputed.)

I really cannot understand in any sense the cavalier attitude toward this girl's injuries. It's utterly disgusting.

playing the victim card...

how about you stop the name calling (really dont appreciate being called a bigot)..

its called Due process... you know gather facts then make a judgement based off the facts and not knee jerk emotional responses.

It's called innocent until proven guilty, we can't just assume that a thing is true based upon testimony. Testimony requires evidence.
