Short and sweet toptc.

Don't you just hate it when you remember a song but for the love of Atheist, God or Allah the only thing you can remember is the actual song in your head and not the title or creator?

All I can say it is a vinyl record with a blue sticker on it and its electronic early 90s

Ok rant out

Do you remember any of the lyrics? Google what little you do remember and that may bring it up.

great suggestion, that is exactly what I do, and I've had great success if I know enough of the lyrics.

Whenever I get a song stuck in my head, I just listen to any other song over and over. Soon it takes the place of the one that's stuck.

Consider the following. WARNING: EXTREMELY ADDICTING. YOU MAY BE HUMMING THIS ONE FOREVER!

no lyrics

just electronics
a little piano
maybe some instruments people blow air through lol

and I never once in my life knew the name of the song or artist,
but it perfectly mixes with Jeff Mills - the bells
So I assume the mid 90s

US3: Cantaloop......?

There are lyrics (although I think there was an instrumental version out there). It was part of that '90s jazz-modern "fusion" stuff.

When I was a teenager, there was a radio station (which I can't remember) that would play mostly instrumentals, classical music, and mood music. It helped me block off the world so I'd only listen to it when I was stressed out. Well, there was this incredible instrumental they'd play every now & then which had an acoustic guitar as the lead. I can still remember snippets of it, but I can't remember anything else about it. It sucks because I have nothing to go by except I think the artist was a guy and not a group.

There is a station that I listen to in my neck of the woods that (except for some specific programs for latin music and R&B on Saturday mornings) plays nothing but a mix of classic and modern jazz. I don't know why but I think you might like it.

WBGO Jazz If you're in the NJ, Eastern Pennsylvania, NY area you can find it on the FM dial at 88.3

In my area there used to be a "smooth jazz" station that was PERFECT to relax but that has gone the way of the Dodo, unfortunately.

Also, there are 3 different versions of that song. One of them has more piano in it.

Thank You all guys and girls for responding.

No one gave me the song I remembered, ok I know its not a song that was widely known so no problem, but anyway thanks for trying.

I just know I loved that song, the record (vinyl) had a blue sticker on it, lol that doesn't say much I know.

Anyway I can remember that song for one of the first times I heard it on a festival after partying from the Wednesday before on a Sunday Morning (maybe Monday) but right at the moment when the sun popped over the hills and enlightened us with another beautiful day and embraced with the warmth of another day in summer... 100s of miles away from home for the love of music.

I guess I shouldn't post questions about music from a period I loved the music when we rarely heard the name of a producer as the focus lay on the DJ who was mixing it, but especially I shouldn't post when I'm drunk lol

Then look at what festival and seek out the DJ look them up and youll likely find a posted video set list or find the music they sampled... sometimes detective work is easier than staring at a clue that doesnt speak more than the same memories you just posted. Obviously same feeling can be recalled whether you find the song or not... finding it now listening under different circumstances will alter that experience not bring it back... seems recalling the entire experience led to that association so hey why limit and chase by then in now... go make experiences and similar but not the same will arise. The song itself wasnt it just a trigger to recall... but you can do that any time... seeing how retelling it did the same yes? However back in the day craving can stop doing it in the future allowing that to arise elsewhere.

Well you are right about that. It was from an era YouTube hasn't started yet lol . Ok I'm getting old now.

I'm not to worried about that song though, that is until the next time I'm getting to drunk again. I am sure I will have an minidisc with that song somewhere .... just no way to play it though

But just ahwwww... the sweet memories booze brings up sometimes... beats every doomporn ATS can provide
