I have a concern that Obama is intentionally turning a blind eye to what is working in order to promote his agenda. I would go so far as to say he has asked certain agencies to stand down so that the NWO and TPTB can get their agenda rammed through the US Congress.

He is either intentionally doing this or he is a complete moron and I think it is the former. Hilary may even be worse.

So it's the fault of the gun shop owners that this loser killed all these people.

I see.

Actually heard the gun shop owner speak on the radio, he is retired NYPD and sounds like a pretty straight forward kind of guy. I really don't classify myself as anti or pro gun, but this shop owner impressed me with what he had to say.

This is why the investigation needs to run its course and people who are screaming for more laws from a reactionary standpoint need to calm down. If this is true the employees did the right thing, they 'saw something and said something' and guess who dropped the ball AGAIN? Uncle Sugar.

Yes! Thank you!!!

You said this so well there's nothing I can add... but I bears repeating

You have a excellent grasp of PC. Unless you're serious. Then that's not funny ..in the least.

Excellent question.

Speaking in Arabic indicates coordination with other extremists... gives credence to ISIS taking credit for the attack.

Firstly Mateen was an American citizen.

Second if all he asked for is #3 armor, bulk ammo and spoke a what a gun store owner knew to be Arabic language. Did I miss something?

What should the FBI do when a customer asks 2 questions and then speaks in a diff tongue? He already was on a watch list, in 2012 and nothing happened. It is really hard to read peoples minds, in most cases there is little that could be done to stop these terrible shootings. You want to know why? Cause we are a free people living in a free country.

The only logical way to stop mass shootings is either confiscate all guns (good luck), everyone carries a gun (good luck). We are stuck, but certain groups love to use this issue, divide and conquer.

Well, they've got his phone...and know when this trip to the gun shop took place.
They should know who he called.

I sure don't want to undermine anyone's rights, but it's also just good sense to take reasonable precautions for reasonable risks.

if you should be put under surveillance for buying something, maybe it should be illegal ?

Maybe. Or... if you have been under FBI surveillance for terrorist links and you try buying equipment used in terrorist attacks, maybe the authorities should pay attention.

Thing is, if someone called the DHS hotline ("see something, say something" or whatever) on Joe Six Pack Veteran with PTSD loading up his truck (with a Confederate flag on the front bumper, of course) with guns to go hunting or something, you can bet the feds would be all over his ass lickety split.

But this guy? Red flags everywhere?

Nope. Nothing to see here.

Selective enforcement based on political priority.

Or worse.

technically at the time a crime hadn't been committed yet so I'm a little upset about these gun shop owners racial profiling the guy. I'm sure the whole time he was there he was given dirty looks and made to feel uncomfortable.

I thinking you're presuming quite a bit.

Its these types of people who drive these people to do what they do.

No one can "drive" anyone to do anything... much less such a violent and heinous crime.

The U.S. always has to have an enemy to keep the military complex machine going. When the cold war was over, the U.S. immediately said the next concern was going to be terrorism. Anybody else remember when our government kept saying we have to keep the Persian Gulf open to keep the Middle-East oil flowing? That started our presence in the Middle East. We started sending ships into the Persian Gulf supposedly to escort oil tankers. We also started supporting dictators like Sadam Hussein, the Shah of Iran, and terrorists like Osama Bin laden in the Soviet Union invasion of Afghanistan. The U.S. intentionally stirred the sewage in the Middle East to create terror. They got what they planned for! Now the citizens of Europe and the U.S. are paying for it with their lives.

I certainly do not want to take away anyone's rights, but on the flip side, if you are on a no-fly, fbi watch list, even as an American Citizen, you should not be allowed to buy firearms. To the NRA guys, I apologize, but this is just kind of common sense.

I like your thinking new guy. If only Mateen could have gotten his bulk ammunition and level 3 body armor he probably just would have went home and played Call of Duty.

Yes! I don't have to like Obama or support Obama to know he's a pretty smart guy... far too smart to be this incompetent, much less to believe the hogwash he's spewing to the masses. He knows exactly what he's doing.

I just wish we did.

The problem is many armed security guards have there own vests and shoot a lot.

I did back when i was a federal security officer and would now if i went back into security work.

Some low level desk clerk type at the FBI might have got the call and ran the name and found the Mateen was a security guard
and filed it as nothing out of the normal for a security guard.

There is that tricky "due process" bit.

I know they want it for GITMO prisoners, but not so much for American citizens.
