One month after the San Bernardino terrorist attack that left 14 innocent people dead, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson told advisors that right wing extremists pose just as much of a threat to the country as Islamic extremists.
Johnson made the comments during the Homeland Security Advisory Council’s (HSAC) January meeting. City of Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo, whom Johnson appointed to HSAC, shifted the discussion to the threat of right-wing extremists, according to the official meeting minutes.
“Member Acevedo reminded the Council that the threat from right-wing extremists domestically is just as real as the threat from Islamic extremism,” the minutes state.
Johnson echoed the sentiment. “Secretary Johnson agreed and noted that CVE [Subcommittee on Combating Violent Extremism], by definition, is not solely focused on one religion,” the minutes state.
Another council member, Cardinal Point Strategies CEO Paul Goldenberg, joined the chorus.
“Member Goldenberg seconded Member Acevedo’s remarks and noted the importance of online sites in right wing extremist communities, not only in America but worldwide,” the minutes state.
The meeting was also attended by the co-chairs of HSAC’s Subcommittee on Combating Violent Extremism.

West Point center cites dangers of ‘far right’ in U.S.
By Rowan Scarborough - The Washington Times - Thursday, January 17, 2013
A West Point think tank has issued a paper warning America about “far right” groups such as the “anti-federalist” movement, which supports “civil activism, individual freedoms and self-government.”
The report issued this week by the Combating Terrorism Center at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., is titled “Challengers from the Sidelines: Understanding America’s Violent Far-Right.”
The center — part of the institution where men and women are molded into Army officers — posted the report Tuesday. It lumps limited government activists with three movements it identifies as “a racist/white supremacy movement, an anti-federalist movement and a fundamentalist movement."

The report also draws a link between the mainstream conservative movement and the violent “far right,” and describes liberals as “future oriented” and conservatives as living in the past.
“While liberal worldviews are future- or progressive -oriented, conservative perspectives are more past-oriented, and in general, are interested in preserving the status quo.” the report says. “The far right represents a more extreme version of conservatism, as its political vision is usually justified by the aspiration to restore or preserve values and practices that are part of the idealized historical heritage of the nation or ethnic community.”

That's very ironic coming from the same people who have been trying to label "Americans who believe in the Second Amendment, or who don't agree with any of Obama's policies, or who don't believe nor like a World government, or who don't believe or like a communist government, or American veterans" among other things as "possible extremists/possible terrorists"...

They even have West Point going after Americans who lean to the right and labeling us all as "extremists" even when most of us don't condone violence towards others, nor are hateful.

It seems more and more obvious that the Obama administration is using tragedies such as the one that occurred in Orlando Florida, but which is very sketchy as some ATS members found and the agenda of the Obama administration is simply to use these tragedies to label their political opposition as "possible extremists/possible terrorists.
When are Americans going to wake up as to what is actually going on?
If any of you disagree with "any" of the Obama's administration policies, make sure you write to your representatives/Senators and tell them that we don't stand for this, that the Obama administration can't simply use tragedies such as this one to impose their anti-American agenda, nor to label Americans who differ in opinion with the Obama administration as "possible extremists/possible terrorists".
We need to take to the streets, and peacefully demonstrate in the millions that we don't want fascism in the United States.

haven't most of the recent shootings/bombings been done by Democrats?
What? Conservatives are the ones doing things like shooting park rangers and staging armed takeovers of government facilities, not to mention bombing abortion clinics.
And don't forget all the lovely right wingers calling for Obama's death, and bringing guns to town meetings, while wearing shirts calling for bloody revolutions.
