the only reason Id say he wet there was to scout the location but.. multiple times?

Why? It's just as likely that he was a pretend Muslim, and drank when no one was looking. After all, 99.9% of Muslim's don't run around shooting people either.

Wow.

Orlando shooter Omar Mateen was gay, former classmate says

The classmate said that he, Mateen and other classmates would hang out, sometimes going to gay nightclubs, after classes at the Indian River Community College police academy. He said Mateen asked him out romantically.

So -- if true -- I understand why he would go to a gay bar so far from home (to keep it from his family). I now wonder what changed... what set him off on his murderous rampage. So sad. So senseless.

Its hard to imagine this could get any sadder.

But, it is.

This makes sense. Scout the place out. No one probably thought anything was wrong until he started shooting.

I read an article recently that he has ties with the CIA,that alone should make it clear that he was merely scoping the place and planning it meticulously,he would have spotted all the camera locations and where all the club security are, finding their weak spots over the course of a few weeks, noticing when and what day it is most populated and when the guard shifts change, taking extra detail into knowing how many steps it would take and how to get to his optimum firing position without causing any alarm.Knowing the guard shifts he was most likely able to sneak his weapon in and hide it somewhere near where he had planned yet also in a way for it not to be discovered easily. The type of planning involved here is way above most terrorists, this event reeks of government involvement.

This is a planted story to set-up the meme that the guy wasn't a "real" Muslim.

So are you calling the witnesses liars? Because many of them have stated he had been a regular visitor for at least 3 years. He was a member of Jack'd gay dating site and a friend said Omar hit on him but he declined. Too many accounts and sources for a planted story.

If it weren't for the fact that an individual for a group hated more by the average "conservative" was responsible, how much concern would their be really?

Let me be the first to say it on ATS (afaik):

There's a whole lot of fake grief, empathy and compassion coming from a lot of people who two weeks ago would have been mocking people as "SJWs" for seeing a problem with gay people being denied equal access to public accommodations.

What a ridiculous thing to say.

While I disagree with conservatives constantly trying to interfere in the personal love interests of gay people I also understand that most of them do not wish for any harm to them. Christianity prohibits harming others. Islam does not.

If we're going to criticize religious beliefs we should be clear about the fact that Christians are prohibited from harming others by their written texts, Muslims are not.

I don't see how it matters. Islam, no matter if he was gay or not, is what provided the motivation for him to hate gay people. If he was gay and that caused some kind of internal conflict it was because Islam prohibits it. There is nothing wrong with being gay.

First of all lets start with this :

At least four regular customers at the gay Orlando nightclub where a gunman killed 49 people Sunday morning said today that they believe they had seen the killer, Omar Mateen, there before.

Second of all it does not look like these regular customers were at the club that night and there are always people around that want to feel closer and more relevant to the situation and saying things like this is what they often do while keeping things vague and inconclusive.

And third, he could have been there scoping the place out. Maybe originally had the idea of targeting a few individuals using the club to find them. Maybe he later changed his idea and started thinking of taking the entire club out at a later point and probably been thinking about doing it all that time but didnt have the guts or enough alchohol until that very day.

I certaintly would not run with this story based on the information it provides. It all sounds a bit..

You don't say...?

And www.abovetopsecret.com...

Still he could have been scoping it out so we need wait for a full investigation before drawing conclusions. Though his ex-wife did tell a media outlet that he confided in her that he liked clubs and nightlife.

I wonder will the religion haters and Muslim haters retract their rants if this angle turns out to be a thing?

That was my first impression as well. That he was scoping the place out, checking out the level of security, ect. Also, something else I keep hearing is about possible accomplices as well, but hardly any mention from mainstream outlets. There is a lot of # even in the media accounts that makes me think he was helped by someone else, maybe even an employee of the club, but at this stage, I can't even find confirmation on even the presence of accomplices. Anyone know anything about this?

I don't think they're too gay. Just universal in their belief that murdering gay people is the best punishment.

In their radical religious believes ideology is ok to murder about anybody that is not part of their believe system.

Look at the atrocities committed in the middle east right now within their own people, that means that anybody outside their borders is fear game, approved by divine commandment and with the promise of a place next to Allah, specially when dying and killing in his name.

This is the part that most people outside the radical religious believe can not understand, is an honor for this people to kill and been killed in the name of their believes.

The reason people can not understand this concept is because we here in this nation and many other western nations are set of laws, we are ruled by this laws that explicit put out a set of rules to abide as a modern society.

This not under radicalism

Just to put it out there. Muslims before suicide missions are given permission to use drugs. We have seen countless bar footage even from the guys in the Paris attacks.

Second the guy pledged allegiance to Isis. He could have been battling demons. Doesn't matter much. They guy was radicalized by religion. I

I look at this in one of two ways..

1. He was scouting out the place of this massacre

2. A man living in a very intolerant religion/culture/family and snapped due to feelings he felt which he was told were deplorable acts...

I did not say there was anything wrong with being gay nor did I insinuate such so please don't imply I'm spreading that sort of message, I'm not. I have no issue what-so-ever with anyone's sexuality and as my posts have indicated, it is the conflict he has that may have been part of the issue. Along with his lifestyle of drinking and steroid use and who knows what else, his conflict with the Islamic faith, and following the radical side of his religion, like I said, he was a ball of conflict waiting to explode.

Yes, his Islamic faith most assuredly was the catalyst for this man who was so mentally ill.

It's quite obvious to me that he was gay. Maybe he thought killing gay people in a night club would wash away his so called sins.

It's a bit like the anti gay people who go round beating up gay people, when in fact, they are gay themselves. But of course, this case is much more extreme.

He was know to have issues, put that with a religious faith that is against same sex relations, and being gay, is a reciepy for disaster.

Exactly, the gay story isn't a good one considering that the F.B.I had interviewed him a couple of times in the past for threatening coworkers. Like I said in another thread, look how long it took the media to report the seriousness of the situation.
