The lights in the city I love,
Always stay on in my head when I think of you,

Every big building I see was how love was going to be,
All at rest the bright lights turn off in my mind.

Scraping the sky the love of light arrived,
The higher they are the more I fear the love for you.

Seeing you on Broadway never changed my mind,
Being with you on Broadway surly was not kind.

Every big sky scraper you see is full of love,
From thin air to thick I will see you there.
