Why should there be a wall? There are no walls during sporting events? This should be open to everyone. It is PUBLIC PROPERTY right folks. I mean, I am not going to bring up all of the threads but many of you were up in arms stating that the terrorists, uh, I mean, protesters had the right to be in those venues of Trumps.

Cleveland.com reporter Andrew J. Tobias reported last week that plans are afoot to spend part of the federal government's $50 million security grant to Cleveland for the July Republican National Convention on six-foot-tall fences and other barricades around town.

The RNC has been designated a National Special Security Event, which makes it eligible for federal funding. The U.S. Secret Service is running point on security, and is overseeing the high-security perimeter that is expected to be built around Quicken Loans Arena, the main convention venue.

The Secret Service planning this one, too.

This thread failed in a major way, missed a minute of research to look at plans for the RNC. Similar to the DNC and both ran by Secret Service.

I did not complain about anything being built around the RNC. The OP complains about what is being built around the DNC. The same things being built. We should stay within the scope of the thread.

Difference is that is to keep out the protesters like in California. The DNC is doing it to keep out the Bernies supporters...wait, they are the same right?

The difference is? I did not see any difference. The Secret Service made an asessment on both events. I shouldn't need to make my own thread, I am debating the credibility of your Original Post and that your title is inaccurate.

How is it hypocrisy? I don't think either get to make a choice on what the Secret Service plans to do.
