I honestly have no idea how Americans can deny this or defend it.

Defend what? The only thing these 'poor, bad' people want is a better way of life. Mostly the downtrodden and oppressed (mixed with a few bad apples), the propaganda is they are all bad. The real criminals are in the government in both countries.

Way to go blaming the poor for whats wrong, again.

The propaganda is that they are all good. The real criminals are in the government you are correct. So that means we ignore immigration laws?

The real criminals are on the corner selling crack why are you wasting time giving me a speeding ticket officer?

It means they ignore them and there is nothing that you can really do about it.

That's not your fault but it isn't the crack dealer's fault either.

You know what cuts into builder's profits? Government regulation, Government policies, Government protectionism of primarily union labor run companies, and Government inaction on things that adversely affect the building industry.
...
People have ALWAYS been willing to do these jobs right here in the USA. Just not for slave wages with no protections.

So, the American worker complains that his wages are too low. The Government gets involved, and introduces laws to protect the American worker, because the Americans "voted" for their Government to look after them.

So, the Builders make less money because of all the ominous rules. So, the builders hire the undocumented instead of the American, to recover some of their lost profits, by avoiding those rules.

So, the American loses his job opportunities to the undocumented, who are willing to work for less pay, and who demand less from benefits and work conditions.

So, The American's elect The Donald Trump, who then builds a WALL, and deports all the undocumented back to Mexico, so that the Builders can only hire Americans to do these construction jobs, and so the Builders will have to follow all rules and regulations.

So, the American's think they will be happy, now that the Mexicans are gone.

So, the Builders lose their profits again, and look for an alternative solution.

Then, the Builders decide that modern technology has the solution to their "profit problem". They hire Drones and replace all "slave labor" with machines, so that nobody can claim they pay slave wages to anyone anymore.

See the future here:
Flying robots, the builders of tomorrow

Construction with Quadrotor Teams

Hence, even with all the Mexican's gone, the American worker still can't get the wages he wants.

The robots don't demand any benefits, they don't complain about poor working conditions. They don't get tired, or sick. And most importantly, they don't have a "VOTE". So, they are just like the "undocumented", only even better.

Now, with the Mexicans gone, the Builders are making even more profits.

Anyone who thinks that Donald Trump is running for President, so that he can raise the wages of the American worker, and they will benefit by having this "BUILDER" in the Oval Office is clueless.

When you see a BUILDER openly talking about riding the country of the "least expensive" construction labor, you know there's another ever "cheaper labor force" waiting to fill the void. He's just not mentioning it, misdirecting the voters by using emotional appeal that he knows will get all their attention and juices flowing his way.

The one honest thing THE DONALD has said, is that he has always tried "to pay the least taxes" that he could. He's a businessman. Business main goal is "to increase efficiency". When the builder hires robots, there's no employment taxes to send to Uncle Sam. And no "medical insurance" to pay for your "machine employees".

EFFICIENCY = REVENUE - COSTS for the same construction.

You can make more money by building more expensive houses, but how can you make more money by building the average house? You've got to lower costs. The revenue is the same. You can't charge more for the house. The people can't buy more expensive homes. So, when the Government demands the Builders pay higher wages, the Builders have to change their workers: Americans ---> Undocumented --> Robots.

The robots will bring the highest "efficiency" to the construction industry, that has ever been possible. And all those things you point out, about poor craftsmanship among the undocumented will vanish. Robots can be programed to lay the bricks exactly with absolute precision, impossible for a human being to do. So, with the cheapest labor, the builders will have the highest construction quality.

Americans will still get paid "what their labor is actually worth", regardless of what laws and regulations the Government introduce. You can't "vote" yourself a pay increase. Unless, of course, you're a legislator

The real question should be..who's employing all of these undocumented workers? ..when you answer that you may realize who really created the illegal immigration problems we are facing today.

While I don't agree with some of AZguys personal views, his analysis of the construction industry over the last 20+ years is correct, we have similar work histories except I stayed in the field, I never took my hard hat Off..well, until I could no longer communicate with the mostly unskilled workforce surrounding me, that's when I Topped Off.

I say we just give them statehood and build the wall on the Southern border. With Mexico as a state, many of them will prefer to just stay in state. Everyone would be part of the construction industry overnight as the economic windfall will come from developing their infrastructure and bringing dwellings and all structures up to code.

Then we move on to Cuba and PR as states as well. Turning these into states will keep their populations at home and provide us established Americans with the opportunity to make money developing these places into code.

Problem is they ALL READY built a wall on their southern boarder. They also SHOOT anyone tring to cross it. I guess they don't want the South Americans crossing into their country.

Go figure that one

It's ignorant now to see things for yourself and make judgements based on personal experience??

Only if it contradicted the desired liberal agenda. You are not allowed to judge on observation, only on how the OTHER person feels. Dont't worry; you will be instructed on what that feeling is when the time is right.

Did you ever stop and think not every brown person speaking Spanish was illegal? I live in So Cal too, less than 100 miles from the border. Not being over ran out here.

OH I know they are not. I have many friends that fall into that category.

You know what? Most of them want the illegals gone also. I think they may dislike them more then I do.

So true. By the very definition they are criminals.

Then if they are working that is another crime.
If they are using any kind of ID there goes another.
If the are helping another illegal then add one more crime.

So as a legal US citizen how many crimes Am I allowed before I'm classified as a criminal? (0 is the correct answer.)

The laws are there to give you a false sense of security. They wouldn't be required if the law makers did their jobs. Alas, they're too busy meddling in the internal affairs of other nations, far away.

Guess that is why no illegals from other countries ever get through mexico and into the US?

Being that they do, your figuring is wrong.

ETA:

Nope, the answer is as many as you can get away with.

I've known illegals that got amnesty and talk that way.

Go figure that one.

That right.

There's no crime, if there's no witness.

When a tree falls in the forest, does it make any sound?

Someone has to "accuse" you of committing a crime. And even then, it's not yet a crime, it's just an accusation.
Then a judge or jury has to "find you guilty", before its a crime.

We invent the laws. But, someone has to interpret the law, before a crime can be established.

Everybody interprets the law. But, not everybody has the correct interpretation. Sometimes, even the courts misinterpret the law, and when the case goes to a higher court, the verdict is changed on appeal.

Given how complicated the procedure is, for determining the correct interpretation of the law, no one can be absolutely certain that someone else has broken the law, until the courts have examined the situation thoroughly.

We are all entitled to our "opinions" on whether someone broke the law or not. But, opinions are not facts.

Until the facts are established by the judicial system, it's still just "opinions."

There are no illegal aliens in America, until the court has found them to be illegally present on the land.

As long as you keep your head down, and nobody accuses you, you're always legal.

The only criminals in America, are the people already in jail. And even then, some of them are innocent.

But, we all have opinions, about many who walk outside the prison system, who we think should be in jail. Lots of politicians tend to fall in that category. And sometimes, they do end up in jail. But, the politicians know better than anybody else, that they cannot commit any crime, until they are both accused and convicted. So, they try their luck, since America has a most profitable system for the bold and the brave.

Well if a YouTube video says Trump is right then it must be true. Fun fact, more Mexicans are leaving the US then entering.

Donald Trump? Oh you mean the man who in 1998 is quoted as saying verbatim
"If I were to run, I'd run as a Republican. They're the dumbest group of voters in the country. They believe anything on Fox News. I could lie and they'd still eat it up. I bet my numbers would be terrific."

You can't make this stuff up. His own words, cannot be trusted. YouTube can! 'Murika!

You have an agenda to blame the US for all of the worlds problems. Im tired of the anti US sentiment.

I bet you were one of those people chanting "U-S-A, U-S-A, in front of Bush, weren't you?

Talk about (blind) nationalism...

He doesn't even acknowledge that US involvement in foreign nations for the sole purpose of corporate control or favorable oil prices even exists, and yet he is tired of the anti US sentiment.

If he doesn't accept what is actually happening in the contemporary world, why bother debating. He just loves America like a sycophant and nothing you say or show them will alter that.

You have to remember that funding drones and an ever increasing military is very important for the Americans who have fallen head over heels for the guise of "spreading freedom". It's real to them.

I will tell you a truism, straight from my ears to my reply to this posting. I was in Panama about 1993. I was there to support a friendly jester by the United States towards Panama in building or restoring things like medical clinics and school buildings in the small village areas in the hard to reach places in that country. During my off time myself and other sergeants took the opportunity to travel around and see the country. We became friends with a mayor of one of the larger communities, who acted as our guide and provided individuals for our security as we traveled. You see Noriega still had friends in Panama and there are many who hate Americans for reasons dating all the way back to the building of the canal. I must say they cited reasons I have never heard about, and our attack on Panama was still hot on their minds. Our Mayor friend said he had often provided security for American politicians who came to Panama to play; and he had an obvious distastes for them. I remember clearly what he said to me one day as we traveled to small towns in the back woods. He said people are crossing over into the United States as part of a plan. He said they figured that the United States would loose Florida before the year 2000, which of course didn't happen but it bothers me that this was an orchestrated plan. Yet it is not over, He said it is not just from one south American country but many and especially from Cuba. He told me that this effort was to eventually divide the United States from within and that it will happen. Over the years since then this is exactly what I have been seeing. I have tried to tell everyone about this but I get the complacent nod and lets talk about something else. Hey I was not alone when we talked with the Mayor, and if any of my fellow sergeants are reading this speak up. Air Force, Civil Engineers World Tour in the 90's. All I am asking is our laws need to be enforced. People can come here but do it the right way. a reply to: TheBulk

So you lay out the evil plot, that sounds like a Bond flick, and then you think that asking people to immigrate legally is going to stop Cuba and her evil allies from carrying out their commie plan to divide and conquer the US?

Seems like ATS needs a personal letter forum, like penthouse, for doom porn.
