I miss the old school emoticons

I really do. They illustrate emotions far superior, etc.

Now take it from me... as I'm a real life "Tiki'ist". Tiki, the god of recreation, I live by it. I love it. The art, the notion I love it all. I have book ont he subject.

I'd be entirely disappointed in the 'new' emoticons, did they not remind me of Tiki Style.

I dont actually hate the new units, I just like the old ones better, specifically to the effects of this site (where we cant use vulgarities etc to enhance emphasis).

I miss the old smilies, too.

I know I can use them if I really want to, I've got the codes, but it's a lot of mucking about.

They do convey 'emotions' far more eloquently than the current crop

Yep. The emoticons are my biggest beef with the new ATS. I can live with all the other bugs. Skeptic has done a good job, considering he doesn't have a team of coders at his disposal. But the emo's? Big disappointment.

I still have most of them. Saved them just before ATS went to version 5.3.

You can upload them and use them here, just more of a pain to do it is all.

I need to get all these put in a folder to themselves, so they're easier to find. Not as convenient to use as they once were, but certainly better than not having them at all.

I'm using my desktop PC. The emotes are there when I go to post a reply, or create a thread.

They also show up on my nextbook tablet which runs Android's Lolipop OS.

If you want to use the old smilies, press 'quote' for eriktheawful's post and copy the codes from there. Save them to a document and you can copy and paste them when you need to.

Or do what olaru suggested - far more choice.
