All it can do is rile up Sander's voters, and give complacency to Clinton's voters.
The Clinton campaign is visibly annoyed at the reports; they wanted a celebration at the end of the day, not an anticlimactic confirmation of what is already known.
If anybody would have 'colluded' to release the findings, it would have been Sanders campaign.
But I don't think it was either. The AP reporters just counted the delegates and released their result.
