People didn't see at night before electric lights either. Don't close off possibilities. You have a scientific inquiring mind, right?

This is pretty basic. And, look around you! If everything near you is above absolute zero, everything you see is proof that this is not true.

You cant see at night????? Huh? I can. Looking around. Yep I can see at night without lightbulbs.

Wait let me double check. Yep. I can still see.

No, everything you see tells you this. I have a different experience. But like I said earlier, some people will never be convinced , even if it it bites them in the ass, they will still deny it, because of their fear of the unknown or being ridiculed.

Science doesn't hold for anything 'spiritual' (I said spiritual not religious, big difference.)

So you believe people couldn't see at night until we invented the electric light?? So our eyes adapted over night the minute an invention was made. I don't even know how to respond to this level of stupidity other than say people did see at night and the rules of physics hasn't changed.

I don't know that the 'spiritual' exists, except for some nice single malt.

That said, when you scrape away the dodgy bits, are you talking about seeing ghosts? That's a bit off from the OP.

If you're seeing things other people don't see, then maybe there's an alternative explanation other than everyone else is a moron?

in the whole universe ....no way Jose

However.... the Earth may be home to one of the 5 top tier examples of intelligent life forms in this Galaxy

What is that 'life in the universe' equation.... its pretty commonly known...Oh Yeah The Drake equation

And worse of all, we're so stupid that we hate each other over skin pigmentation, accents, body types ,and which piece of land we live on. I mean seriously, how stupid is that? An entire "nation" of people can hate and fight an entire "nation" of other people that they've never even met, just because those people live in a different imaginary boundary. Nationalism is one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard of; as if people are superior or inferior because they were born on a specific plot of land. That's just stupid.

i agree with everythng you said. the universe is so vast that earth is just a microbe under a telescope. Instead of having the attiude its our planet and we are humans. We dived ourselves by religion, culture, what piece of dirt you live on and waht you want to call it (england for example) y even goes as far as what postcode/zip code area you are from. Its divison, divison, divison. Divde people then we cant come together as one.

We are one, on Earth together as huamns, we have some much in common lets not focus on our differences.

Yeah actually as a kid I did from time to time. If youre trying to drive as fast as you can through curvy roads at night and you know the road well enough you can safely do a race type cut the curve when going aroynd a bend with out running head on into incoming traffic. You momentarily turn off your lights and look for oncoming cars headlights. If see them you take the curve by staying in your lane. If not, then the roads yours to use.

Arent you guys all happy that although EVOC qualified I dont own a car these days and rarely drive. Rolling a car due to oversteer on a negatively banked turn will make you reasses your driving style. Now, im the type to run outside shaking my fists yelling "slow down you damned kids!" When some youngsters are seeing just how fast their car can go. I also learned the hard way that most cop cars have limiters at 139 mph and can be outrun. Got nabbed at the stpp light on the end of the off ramp. They pulled up behind me saying they had been attempting to catch up to me for over two miles. I didnt even notice and was simply heading home at 3:30am. That ticket cost me 1,475 bucks and a suspended license for a month. Never sped again after that.

Use Joda's voice… "Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter."

No, Im trying to explain 'up' to a 2D Flatlander.

How unintelligent is it to presume all that exists is what we can see or detect with our eyes and instruments?

Probably go hiking in the woods without flashlight, too.

How unintelligent is it to expect rational people to take seriously claims that have neither objectively verifiable evidence for their existence nor a plausible pretext for existing, given everything that we have observed about the world using the scientific method?

They aren't 'things' in the sense you mean. All you see are things. Like I said, FlatLandia.

Btw, most of my experiences were shared with others. Thats part of the determination overall.

Lol because you look to instruments to make your determinations, thinking thats gong to unlock the next dimension.

Again, flatlanders trying to understand UP.

It's convenient that you shift the claim from the objectively verifiable to the subjective "you just don't see it, maaan!" realm where it cannot be falsified.

You can look down on people who don't take extraordinary subjective claims seriously but likewise don't expect to be taken seriously yourself.

As far as I know, no spirit has ever appeared in a test tube. Theres no point to looking there.

Good luck trying to measure that world, you don't have the yard stick. That would be like trying to hear radio signals with a conch shell.

Science has measured the world quite adequately, in fact it's responsible for us being able to communicate like this remotely right now. Can't really say the same for wishy washy subjective spirit realm talk.
