I agree the "law" should be overturned! But I also believe Obama's attempt at making a "law" (which he legally can't do) be abolished also. This is a fight that never needed to happen. If we can close Pandora's box...I'm all for it. If not...and in the case of bathrooms...it has to do with biology. Not gender identification or a whim.

The Obama Administration clarified, at the request of school systems across the country, guidance on how Title IX requirements apply to Trans* concerns. The much maligned letter provided guidance to make sure that EVERYONE's privacy is protected.

Thankfully, you aren't making the decisions on how the laws of the land will be equitably applied.

Then I guess we simply disagree. I don't condone taking from the majority to satisfy the minority, especially when the reason is nothing more than shoving it down the throats of others to make a point.

But that is just me.

Well in that case Mr. Attitude...thank God that you won't be deciding whom my teenage daughters have to share a shower with or a sauna. Thank God there are people who at least try to find a fair and equal solution instead of f'ing over people just to claim victory.

Nothing is being taken from the majority.

But the minority has the same rights.

That's why we speak of EQUAL rights for both.

Gryphon66...same to you. I'm offering a solution that is fair and equal and satisfies the wants and needs of both sides. Why won't Annee (or anyone supporting the trans) accept it?

I say it is because it isn't about fair and equal, it is about forced acceptance.

And as I've stated:

Fair Housing, Civil Rights, Disability Act, Women Voting, Women's Rights - - ALL had to be forced.

ALL were right to be forced.
All due respect the suffragettes of yesterday are not the same as activists today. The communist party has co opted so many minority groups it's all about creating disturbance in society and a voting bloc for the democrats.

Your Communist fear is yours. If anything, I'd say the Christian Right is responsible for division.

Betty Friedan & Margaret Sanger

The two "fall backs".

Do you feel sometimes like you've travelled to an alternate universe where we're suddenly back in the 1950s?

I do.

LOL - - I was there in the 1950s.

I've first hand watched the evolution of Equal Rights. And the struggle of the Christian Right to hold on to power.

I know you were. The same arguments were made then.

It's chilling.

Here's a funny one (not at the time).

In 1964, the girl volleyball players at my high school, were not allowed to spike the ball. It was un-ladylike and might cause injury to a female body. Seriously!

That's in CA. Can't even imagine the rest of the USA.

LOL ... why you're welcome Mr. or Ms. Pot! (or is it Kettle?)

I agree that the fair solution is best and there should be no State f'ing over anyone.

The fair solution is to let people be who they are and stop trying to dictate their lives to them.

I thought I would mention here that condi rice said at rnc one year her father was refused entree into the democrat party so he went to the republicans and that is how she came into the gop. Why can't the progressives admit they have done wrong? They do not have the corner on morality but they use it to garner voting power for Marxist end game which is big government totalitarian power and they have no problem forcing it on everyone else.

Yes it is. The privacy and comfort of having a place to defecate, shower and be possibly partially nude with only the same sex around is being taken away. Something that has been an expected standard in America for such a long time would be taken away. Mothers will have to find "other ways" if they can't accept sharing a bathroom...or their daughters sharing a bathroom with a biological male.

If you don't see that...there is no point in continuing.

The whole reason there are separate public facilities for Men and Women goes back to the Victorian's prejudicial treatment of Women, who were forbidden to use public facilities due to their frail natures.

No? what about the right of women to have their own restrooms, and locker room to change without having men in them?... But of course their rights don't exist in your view right?

No, it's not being taken away. Everyone deserves privacy. Not just those you approve of.

45% of Americans do not care about the hubbub over who pees where. That number will only increase as ridiculous propaganda as is seen here is dismissed for what it is.

Much ado about nothing.

Where would that right be found?

No one's advocating to have Men in the Ladies facilities ... only Women.

You're the one continually arguing on this matter for the reduction of equal rights. I am in favor of equal rights for all.

First...your "hope" for my daughters isn't welcome. Second...we are done. I refuse to continue speaking with someone so intolerant and unwilling to find a way to accommodate everyone involved, instead of just satisfying their agenda.

How the hell did you get something just for those I approve of???? I am trying to find a solution for everyone involved. Something acceptable and fair. A third bathroom DOES provide privacy for trans people as would them following the rules and using the room of their biological sex.

Baloney it's all about giving men with "bits" entree to the ladies room vecause they have a personal "gender confusion " and everyone else in society has to acquiesce to it.

Ahhhh...I see the problem here. If you look it up or ask any Doctor, you will always remain the sex you were born regardless of any operation, hormones or a very nice disguise. A trans "woman" as you state is only a woman if they were born a woman.

Your commentary here is defined by what you approve and disapprove of.

The solution for everyone invovled is to let people use the appropriate facilities, and keep the government's hands and noses out of our underwear.

You don't seem to understand why "separate but equal" has been dismissed in American law. I can't help you there.

There's no problem. It's a point of established medical fact that Trans* people are the genders they claim to be in all relevant measures. Legal decisions are catching up with that understanding.

I'm surprised that you want the State in our drawers, WeAreAwake ... should we call you on supporting government "underreach"?
