I'm not saying i agree with it, it's all rather stupid to me really. I'm just watching people here hit a silly little ping pong ball back and forth repeatedly expecting a different outcome.

Yeah, this was pretty low of Trump.

If he's smart, he'll apologize.

Props to you for being a person of actual convictions. I disagree with you all the time but at least you call it like you see it.

I asked if you were and you could of course have clarified if you wanted to but I'll play along and rephrase my question.

Do you think that frivolous lawsuits used to bully people into silence are a good thing or a bad thing?

The only candidate worse was Ted Cruz. I guess we dodged a bullet there?

Nothing that I said about Trump is without basis which is far more than I can say for his spurious attack on the judge.

Trump has conducted backroom deals to abuse eminent domain. Trump has donated to the campaigns of zoning officials who have ruled in his favor. Trump has employed a self-proclaimed "political dirty-trickster" for decades to be his full time lobbyist.

Trump has sued a paper because their Pulitzer winning architectural critic called his planned building an eye sore ($500 million). He sued an author for underestimating his wealth ($5 billion). He sued Bill Maher for satirizing him ($5 million). He sued Ivana for talking. He sued New York for allowing a betting game into bars that might compete with the casino interests he then had. He sued New York City because he said a tax assessment scandal caused him to sell 72 apartments at below his estimated value ($500 million). He sued Scotland for building a wind farm that he was assured wouldn't be built.

He sued Julius and Edmond Trump for having the AUDACITY to use their own last name in their business name.

He's been involved in multiple scams, not just Trump University. Ever heard of ACN? It's a multi-level marketing pyramid scam where the people make money by convincing other suckers to fork over $500 (and up) for the "opportunity" to... get other suckers to shell out $500 for the "opportunity" to get other suckers to shell out $500 and so on and so forth.

Sounds like my kinda president. Can't wait.

No, the judge doesn't have any reputation for bias. In fact, while Trump is pandering with this pipe dream of building a wall, the judge in question has a history of locking up cartel leaders as a prosecutor. So much so that he was actually under protection in the 90's because wiretaps of a cartel lieutenant proved that the cartel leaders had approved his assassination and that he was on a hit list.

I wonder if Trump thinks his sister shouldn't be hearing any cases involving people of Mexican heritage because her brother is a race pimping demagogue?

Trump is the biggest snowflake of all snowflakes...always the victim.

He wants to change first amendment laws, he wants the laws changed for his own personal vendettas.

Donald Trump said on Friday he plans to change libel laws in the United States so that he can have an easier time suing news organizations

"One of the things I'm going to do if I win, and I hope we do and we're certainly leading. I'm going to open up our libel laws so when they write purposely negative and horrible and false articles, we can sue them and win lots of money. We're going to open up those libel laws. So when The New York Times writes a hit piece which is a total disgrace or when The Washington Post, which is there for other reasons, writes a hit piece, we can sue them and win money instead of having no chance of winning because they're totally protected," Trump said.

Why is everyone quiet on his attack on free speech?

Because those people secretly want to sue the hell out of everyone that tells them they can't be racist, homophobic, or bigoted in public.

Duh...

If you think our (currently) great nation is headed in the wrong direction, is this the direction you think it should be heading? Is this what "unity" looks like to you?

Due to the direction the country has been heading, we will not be getting an ideal candidate with mass support anytime soon. We haven't had one in a long time. What we can do, is attempt to vote in the best of those which have the most support. In this case, that is Hillary and Trump.

Are these ideal candidates? No, of course not. But what other options do we have right now? The masses will vote for the candidate with the most exposure and loudest voice. We can only attempt to sway the election toward the better of whichever candidates the masses are ignorantly supporting.

Look, if you have a plan to put a better candidate at the forefront of the election before it's too late.. then let me know. I'm on board. However, it looks like it WILL be Hillary vs Trump. Despite Trump's seemingly questionable statements about this judge, at least he does it out in the open and leaves it wide open to harsh criticism from the media (because he knows they will attack him every chance they get, while never going after the disturbing statements from Hillary). I've still yet to hear or see anything coming from Trump that is ANYWHERE near as dangerous or disturbing as what has come from Hillary over the decades that she has been in the public spotlight.

With that said, from what I can gather about Curiel he doesn't seem to be biased and Trump's statements don't add up. He actually seems like a great judge. Perhaps he is simply attempting to get a new judge that may be more willing to help make the case against TU either go away sooner or be postponed until after November. If he can make it even seem as though there is a conflict of interest, he may be able to get a new judge. It may be a stretch, but it may work. We'll have to see.

Anti-US threads and posts? What?

Wow. Talking negatively about Trump merits you questioning my patriotism? T&C prevents me from responding appropriately but the response would start with "Go" and end with "yourself."

Hundreds of anti-Trump threads? Exaggerate much? I count exactly 8 threads about Trump out of 388 threads I've authored and one of those was actually about his son slandering an innocent woman because he's apparently a loudmouth bully like his father.

I get it. You have nothing to say in defense of Trump because what he said was indefensible and so like Trump would himself, you fall back on baseless insults and false allegations to divert attention from a complete lack of substance.

you were one of the people flailing about the supposed Pro Trump violence, but I've yet to see you the least bit outraged at the Rio violence that seems to be happening daily from Anti Trump rioters. Where are your convictions?

I can respect that you've actually put thought into your decision even if we have differences of opinion. I do agree that those are some pretty bad choices. In fact, I don't see Hillary and Trump being radically different in many regards not least of which are their shady business dealings, penchants for lying, wanton flip flopping and the fact that they both seem to want to be President just to be President and will literally say anything they think will get them elected.

They're both rather lacking in scruples when it comes to getting what they want.

At the end of the day, I think Trump is probably the worse of the two but I acknowledge there is ample room for argument and it basically comes down to a matter of opinion. There are key differences that are important to me such as who they are likely to nominate for SCOTUS appointments and how they'll conduct foreign policy but all that said, there is one overreaching difference that I keep coming back to in my mind, particularly when he Trump says some s# like this and that is how they're trying to get elected.

Trump is in my opinion, running as a strongman authoritarian. How much of that is real is anyone's guess but understanding their appeal I think says something about what we can expect from a potential presidency from either.

In other words, they'll both have a tendency to act based on the personas they're marketing and I find Trump's to be the far more dangerous of the two.
