The only thing that's more to it is that she was sharing that pure joy with the people who already follow her.

I agree with corporate greed jumping on it and trying to make more money. That's truly sad, and takes a little of the joy out of it for me.

Yeah that is the unfortunate side effect of something going viral quickly, there are always companies wanting to capatalise on the good feeling that is associated with a video like this.

The other thing I like about the mom is that she totally reminds me of Chris Farley, she had the same childlike mannerisms he had in his comedy.

I also agree with your prior post. She is very comfortable with performance and media.... good for us!

Excellent find and read! As with all human creations and endeavors, there are the phases to decide what is happening and how does/should it fit in with society. Double edged sword, with collective wisdom needed to figure out how to properly handle it.

Better the money goes to her than to the Kardashians.

Good for her.

There are worse things going on in the world.

Hillary Clinton is probably going to escape justice in the Benghazi matter. Now THAT'S a real shame.

Thank you, every once in awhile I may say something of consequence.

Just don't get used to it.

I know exactly what the solution to this travesty is:

Sue them.

All you have to do is show damages of how this ruined your life and drove you irreversibly into a downward spiral of mental illnesses like obsessive compulsive thread posting disorder, manic ranting followed by depressive self imposed isolationism where your health was destroyed by binges on ice cream, or even schizophrenic delusions of hearing Chewbaccan laughing when none is really there.

Get witnesses lined up, especially experts in social media dynamics, psychology, psychiatry, etc.

In the remedy requested section put something like 1) Free scholarships for me too, or
2) Ten million big ones!

Yes. In exactly that language I used. It's called legalese. I read books, I know what I'm talking about.

They'll settle out of court quickly. You'll get #1. Their law reps will recognize you have a solid case here. They are a sophisticated institution of higher learning after all, and take these types of matters very very seriously, and the risk of you getting #2 is far too significant.

There is a 99% chance this will work according to my current estimates. I am not being "sarcastic". I'm a Realist.

Who is this person?

ETA: ok googled this nonsense, that is a waste of 2 min. I will never get back. I wonder if I did youtube videos with underpants on my head, would I get famous and my kids get free school?

Heck I bet she got a nice bonus from the people who made the mask....I still can not get one.
Sorry but she made me smile and still does...to see her joy is infectious and laughter is the best medicine.

Lol...I liked that one post where someone said how you'd think conspiracy theorists would be up in arms over this.

Why?

All I hear is how the little guy is held back, less opportunities - the privileged 1% or something...and here someone is given a golden ticket...her kids are given a better chance in life.

And conspiracy theorists are pissed? Did you make this thread for the lulz?

She did make me laugh, I didn't feel I'd wasted 2 minutes of my life, for had you not watched the video you'd have procrastinated elsewhere - presumably consuming something educational?

People are so mean spirited sometimes. I wish her and her kids all the best, I hope they make the most of it. They might actually go on to do some good in the world.

So she made us laugh...which is good. Some people have been charitable towards her and her kids...which is good.

Two goods must make a bad.

If this woman came out with a video about her feeding the homeless nobody would care. Since when did we start caring about what people put on the internet? Makes me sick.

It's a Christian university and her other videos (pre-Chewbacca viral) were religious themed with her discussing the Bible. I also believe that she's in some manner of church teacher, Sunday school teacher, assistant pastor role at their church. The viral video may have drawn the school's initial attention, but I'm sure it wasn't the reason she was offered this.

As an aside, I'm quite fond of the lady. She reminds me ridiculously of my wife in both appearance and expressions. A half a dozen Facebook friends posted the link on my wife's Facebook within a day of it hitting big, all commenting on how eerie the similarities are.
