Catering to the minorities/groups is not good for the country.

Basically the title says it all - I truly believe we've gone way too far to "represent" the minorities of this country ( USA )

In most cases ( not saying all, but almost..) , you can simply expect the minority/group in question to adapt to social and cultural customs. It may sound rather heartless but I don't think it is personally - I think it's very reasonable to treat everyone equally, never catering or pandering to one group of people. I am certainly against discrimination as far as abuse, and will never find it okay, but we've gone past anti-discrimination.

We need to lift one group above the others, we need to ensure a minority of 1% gets more media coverage than most any other topic. We ensure ethnic minorities ( even illegals ) receive more benefits than other citizens.

Why not create a country where all can thrive?
Why not create a country built on common sense and ethics?
Why not create legislation, tax laws, healthcare laws, etc that benefit all, rather than just a few?

I realize the government is behind so many issues, and our current "leaders" are effectively screwing us left and right, but really their power comes from the people. One group needs religious enshrinement, one group needs females to be on top, one group expects ethnic groups to receive more benefits than other people, and the media just has a lot of fun dividing the people on everything, ensuring that no topic go wasted - They insist it divides people even more to so called "left" and "right" or whatever other terminology you'd use.

I think we need to reduce the government.

We need less laws.
We need less regulations.
We need less pandering.
We need more privacy.
we need more ethics in government.
We need more freedom

Anyways, that's just my topic of the day. Let me know what you think.

This country was built on the principle of protecting the individual and not catering to any groups.

The world is going down the toilet and its going fast.

Wrong. This country was literally built to cater to one group, white males. Do we have to deny historical reality now?

So, you choose to ignore the 14th Amendment (for one) as nation building?

I pray for anybody who knocks the chip off your shoulder !!

It's called Social Engineering.

An insidious unseen hand manipulates the public so a collective of insanity exists in the minds of the masses steering them off on tangents of mindlessness meaningless trivia.

All are sideshows to keep people subversive and obsess on non issues whilst the masters plunder the Planet.

We need fewer laws and less regulation, but anti gay and bathroom laws are being proposed and passed across the country.

We need more privacy, yet we seek to micromanage things like access to basic services like restrooms.

We need more ethics, yet people continue to support and elect career politicians.

We need more freedom, yet the majority feels that the only way to be "free" is to deprive minorities of equality.

Our government panders to religious organizations, but opposes granting equal pay to women and strips gays of non-discrimination protections. In my opinion, the minorities aren't the problem.

Sounds like you need to work hard to achieve something great for yourself and stop whining like a little baby.

I dare you to go to Kassim Ouma, one of the boxers I used to work with and tell him this country is oppressive. He was a child soldier in Uganda and came to America and made millions of dollars and won world titles as a professional boxer.

That required sacrifice and hard work and not whining and making excuses.

I'm just gonna mention my mom's friend in a wheelchair.

To vote, he had to arrange to get several strong men to carry him and his wheelchair up the county steps - - - because at that time, that's where his voting precinct voted. There were no accommodations for the disabled.

Take care of yourself or you're plain outta luck. Deal with it.

Now - - do not tell me this man or his circumstance is the exception.

Can't pick and choose.

The 14th Amendment?

Are you quite serious? The 14th Amendment took a century and civil war to come into being and when it was all said and done, what was the outcome? All people born in the US were naturalized citizens except more than half of them were still second class citizens?

Close that "Drudge Report" tab and open a book.

I love this country and I wouldn't rather be from any other in the world, in modern times or at any time in history but I have a particular disgust for self delusion.

Norms I expect people to accept, adapt to in the USA...

The Constitution.

That's mostly it, I don't mean people should be forced to live one specific way. I just mean no one should be favored to live differently than the rest of us. Everyone should be at an equal level, treated exactly the same. Few if not zero loopholes, exceptions, etc.

What exactly do you think that I'm whining about?

I make six figures telecommuting as an IT professional. I have the title, the income, multiple houses, expensive cars, etc. The difference is that I don't deny that being a white heterosexual male is the best frickin thing to be in America as it has been since 1776.

By his own logic, the FF shouldn't have bothered with that pesky revolution of theirs. I mean really, what were those whiners whining about anyway? What about Uganda?

What. About. Uganda.

As in IT professional don't you realize there's 1000 indians for every white guy?

They don't make as much -but that's by design. They undercut us and get way more work than we ever will.
