The Wisdom of Jesus Christ

The Wisdom of Jesus Christ is a Gospel from the Nag Hammadi scriptures.

It begins in Galilee on a mountain called "Divination and Joy." The 12 Apostles (not Paul) and 7 women disciples are discussing the secrets of the holy plan of the Saviour when he appears in a Spiritual form described "that no mortal flesh could endure, only pure, perfect flesh (born of the Spirit).

Matthew asks " Lord, no one can find the truth except through you. Therefore teach us the truth."

Jesus goes to explain that the God who creates all is Ineffable, unknowable, unnameable and that he (Jesus) is the Great Saviour.

The disciples take turn asking questions. I don't want to spoil it because it is such a great read and explains the order of the Universe and about the True God.

Read the Wisdom of Jesus Christ here if you like reading about Jesus and books mentioned by Church fathers but thought lost forever. It was found in the 1940's with the discovery of the "Gnostic" scriptures.

Interesting that the manuscript is entitled "The Wisdom of Jesus Christ", and yet it never mentions his name, and never calls the "Perfect Savior" "Christ"....

The Holy One said to him: "I want you to know that First Man is called 'Begetter, Self-perfected Mind'. He reflected with Great Sophia, his consort, and revealed his first-begotten, androgynous son. His male name is designated 'First Begetter, Son of God', his female name, 'First Begettress Sophia, Mother of the Universe'. Some call her 'Love'. Now First-begotten is called 'Christ'. Since he has authority from his father, he created a multitude of angels without number for retinue from Spirit and Light."

Surely, this document is someone's illusionary fantasies relative to early Christianity but before advent and Charactor "Jesus Christ; God in the Flesh" was invented. It ring harmonic with the Eleusinian Mystery Schools.

I am not certain, but I believe the term Christ originated in the Eleusinian mysteries.

It may have been Chrestos, an initiate.

Christianity is so influenced by the mystery schools buy not many people know.

But I am actually a very loyal friend and nobody is disturbed that I am playing with my phone. It isn't a party.

My life is one long weekend. Thanks to God I am blessed, at 35, to be retired, set for life.

You're feeling bad for me? What about the hungry, the poor, refugees and the like?

You throw the word hate around alot for someone that feels more righteous than the average person ( your posts say it all). Take the moral high ground and stop stooping to low levels of arguements.

I am genuinely shocked you are 35. Hope my midlife crisis doesn't happen that early.
