Republicans Stunned After Trump Reveals That His Presidential Campaign Is Broke

When Donald Trump told Republicans that his campaign had money, it was a lie. In meeting with Senate Republicans, Trump's campaign privately admitted that they have no money and will not be able to run television ads until after the GOP convention in July.

uh oh, I was under the impression Trump was funding his own campaign.

The notice came when Paul Manafort, Trump’s senior advisor, met with a group of Senate Republican chiefs of staff for lunch last week, sources familiar with the meeting told the Washington Examiner. The admission suggests that Trump will be far more dependent on the GOP brass for money than he has led voters to believe, but it’s consistent with his reliance on the Republican National Committee to provide a ground game in battleground states.

If the GOP is truly against Donald as many have claimed; this is the perfect opportunity to derail his campaign and put in their neocon guy.
Perhaps Trump can institute a crowd funding effort like kickstarter or indygogo on facebook.

Interesting developments....Apparently he doesn't have or isn't willing to use his own resources.

This is his way of getting those Establishment Republican scum to fund his campaign. He will employ a similar strategy to get Mexico to pay for and build a wall for encouraging all the illegal immigration.

Well if Trump throws in the towel now, we can pretty much surmise that he threw the election in favour of the Democrats, probably for Killary. The Republican won't be able to get back the momentum if they run someone else, there's not enough time. This is looking particularly suspicious.

Was this his plan all along? Did he bring this down on himself by his insults to the republican big dogs.

I'm not willing to bring out the "i told you so" banner just yet...but the whole campaign seemed very Janky to me.

So, let me see if I understand what you're getting at. Trump is admitting he's not funding or can't fund his campaign and he doesn't have or won't spend the money for any TV ads that the GOP establishment now have to pay for themselves.

This is the typical election cycle scenario where people can't find fault in a candidate so they start attacking the way that their campaign generates funds, the people that support a candidate, or they just flat out lie about stuff. Not to mention the tax return request, that once is released, no one will actually read.

TLDR; no real news this weekend.

Of course not,irrespective of who's money, why would they want to run any type of adv. Trump is already the nominee, and sensibly will only spend money on target adv. against the Democrat nominee.

Truth is, if all this is true, is that Trump would have no problem raising money in a plea to his constituents. All these folks who believe in him so dearly. Pony up boys, pony up.
