How disgusting, and how are these people even allowed to create such laws? Jesus, Pakistan, who gets a butt load of foreign aid? Essentially the US looks the other way on cases like this! When is Obama gonna say something about this?

To be fair the entire West looks away while some Christian ministers preach this nonsense about beating your wife.

On one matter, the CII appears even more tolerant than religious conservatives in the United States. It is proposing to wait up until 120 days after conception before abortion is declared “murder.”

Ouch!

A poke in the eye from the WP.

Looks like they're making progress...Light beatings are an improvement over the severe beatings from yesteryear.

I hear they're considering throwing Gays off of only three-story buildings soon.

I mean damn, anything is better than having your nose cut off or having burning acid dumped on your face for talking out of line huh?

Sorry, thats bigotry and hate.

I'm stupid I can't help it.

I was raised in extremely Southern Baptist churches and have yet to witness an actual preacher or pastor express that you should lay hands on your spouse or even another human being for that matter...

Maybe a few decades ago but certainly not in my generation.

Well it's only Light beatings
Thankyou, i was waiting for that comment......As a human, what would consider "Light" or "Heavy" beating, you would say one thing and i would another, as it's all in the mind of the beater. Having lived in Rivonia, J'burg for 4 years i saw 1st hand only heavy beatings.

Please feel free to enlighten me.

Incorrect.

The worst violators of human rights are Right Wing fascists.

Don't blame religion.

Every one I have ever went to (and I moved an average of once a year so I went to a lot), even the most Fire and Brimstone, Old Testament preachers never expressed to punish, only to love and inform.

I am by no means a Christian but you can't very well compare Christianity to Islam in their current states...

Gods way

No, it is mans way. Not all men, but "those" men. Men who love to commit sins and claim God said it's okay when God never did that.

Governments that allow this to happen don't deserve any aid from our government.
How about instead of looking the other way because it is just their culture the US says it is not our culture to give aid to foreign countries that allow women and children to be abused.
Hell even hardened criminals in prison, the lowest of the low don't associate with child molesters and rapist. ....but our government sends money to them.
Something is wrong with that picture.
