If, as scientists say, our planet isn't a perfect sphere but more squashed in the middle, like a spheroid, must mean that every single picture we have ever seen of earth from space has been faked.

Why? Why not show us what it actually looks like.

Can't wait for that answer.

Flat earth theory aside, that says a lot about nasa.

Because the difference is so small that you can't notice it.

ETA: The difference is a whopping 13 miles.

as you use the same " argument " in 2 threads - i shall use the same rebuttal :

sigh - here is a challenge - get a friend you trust to draw 2 lines at right angles [ 90 degrees ]

one :

1275 mm long . the second 1271 mm long

then see if you can honestly tell which line is longest while standing 3m away

then you should realise that your expectation to " detect the oblateness of the earth " from a photo is utterly assanine

The oceans actually make earth look more evenly round than it actually is. If you look at a picture of the earth without oceans you'll get a better idea. IIRC, the diameter at the equator is longer than the diameter from pole to pole (hence why planes fly over the north pole rather than fly east/west to China from North America.

Occam's razor says that all nasa pics are not faked. The earth doesn't look like a potato. It's a sphere that's slightly wider than it is long. Like the folks said above, the difference is too small to notice, just like people who claim they should feel the rotation of the earth.

And again, still no explanation for the southern sky, which is slam dunk for the earth being round. Again, how do you rectify this on flat earth model. I'd love see anybody address it.
