That I would agree with.

One thing I think a lot of people miss in all this is that relaxing of morals seems to have opened the door for the instant gratification culture and narcissism. Morals might be icky and unfun, but they did force a person to develop a measure of self-control and respect for the concept of delayed gratification. Instant gratification also helps feed self-indulgence and selfishness which then feeds narcissism.

The Roman Empire took 300 years to fall apart (after having been a republic for 500 years), and even then the Eastern Roman Empire continued up through the 1500's as the Byzantine Empire.

There may be some similarities between the US and the decline of the Roman Empire, but there are also things that aren't the same either. For one, the Romans didn't have access to things like electricity, cars, the internet, and any other parts of modern life that have drastically changed the social atmosphere.

It isn't even laws against intolerance it's laws stating x,y,z groups are now the same a white Christian men... what you can't do to a white Christian male, you can't do to these others either.

Understand that the US is about 30 years or so behind the UK, so this roughly where we are trending too.

The Roman Empire survived 8+ different revolts and rebellions. You don't consider rebels to be traitors and treasonous?
