Is ignoring what a canidate says, because "I know what he really means" inherently dangerous???

I see a lot of intelligent people making the case for trump that:

"All his craziness is for show, he doesn't mean it.."


Well I personally agree with that, but isn't it inherently dangerous to pick a canidate who has recently said he was going to do insane things if elected??



None of us know who The Donald really is...lib, conservative, evangelical, democrat, republican, exc..

And for some reason a lot of us (myself included) assume we know what he really means, but isn't that dangerous as hell??

This is not a plea for Hillary, just for common sense.

Isn't this the exact same as when Fox News takes a totally meaningless Obama/Hillary quote and says:

"I know he didn't say he wanted to destroy America..but we know what he really means...."

But from a diffent angle???

I personally think Trump is a moderate dem, because that's what he had been for decades previous to running for the GOP nomination, but how can anyone know??

You should read his book the Art of the Deal. It basically describes the Trump campaign. But yes you're right. I think most of this comes from the mainstream media. His supposed racism, fascism, and Hitleresque qualities, are all served up on a propaganda platter for the ill-informed, and repeated.

I would say no. You can't trust what they say in any case. The basic protocol is pander to the base and then betray your base once you get elected and have to face reality.

Sorry but Obama basically said he would destroy America... "fundamentally change" "Civilian security force" etc etc. We all knew who he was and what he stood for and he came through with his destruction. Everyone knew what Obama meant with the many things he said, because he came out and said them.

*edit* What did Trump say that has you worried? Also to add.. I don't trust any politician but I think Trump is the lesser of 3 evils.

I think it's important to consider a candidate's record when determining the intent behind their words.

Trump has been all over the political spectrum, flip-flopping. Nothing he says can be taken seriously, IMO.

Hillary has a long record of lying, Nothing she says can be taken at face value, IMO.

This method is flawed because they haven't earned any trust. That's not my fault.

I think trump has played the media, not the media has cheated trump...

I think he has purposefully said racist, exc stuff to keep the medias eye on him and ignoring the other candidates.

Sure almost all the media has attacked him, but he was running for the republican nomination, and republicans don't trust anyone, most of all the media.

So the more the media attacks him, the more conservatives think it is all a vast conspiracy against him..which just adds to his anti-establishment cred..

Trump will bend over and take it from the neocon masters, just like Obama did, and continue the established Oligarchian system to the exclusive benefit of the mega corps; that is if they even let him get to the convention. They are a capricious lot and change their minds frequently. They might think that Trump is believing his own BS and find it necessary to throw him to the sharks.

Obama is a moderate, semi establishment democrat, not a liberal champion..

Besides the whole socialism thing is propaganda...

Referring to socialism as if it is evil, when literally every single country in the planets history has been based around tax dollars going to the benefit of all. Which is the definition of socialism..

Its hard to blame any other news outlet or anyone else for that matter, when hes on audio and video saying the things he says.....

The president is really an illusion. He is just a scapegoat for the public to put all their hatred into.

Meanwhile the whole political system has been perverted and saturated with selfish morons even more so than the past. These fools cant even have a conversation with each other. At least back in the day the two sides argued then went out for drinks argued some more and came up with some kind of idea.

You are partially right about the perverted and selfish morons...

However currently, the important decisions are made basically by ONE side on a private country club in Orange Co. Cali. or at Bohemian Grove.
