Noisy scooters/mopeds ARRRRRGH!!!

ARRRRRRGH!!!! OMG I RAGE EVERY TIME 😠😠😠😠

OK breathe..... I'm good I'm good!

I'm gentle, kind, very compassionate, an animal lover, a person lover, a life lover, a peace lover...

But I want TO BASH THESE F###ERS TO DEATH WITH THEIR OWN HELMETS! nuff caps, sorry.

I want them all to die in a fire.

OBVIOUSLY I don't mean any of this, and would never harm anyone or anything un necessarily!

But I just thought I'd share some private thoughts that;
1 - You don't say it loud
2 - Don't post publicly on the Internet 😐

ive got a local guy in a microlight who likes to do circles over my village for several hours.
i'm not one for shooting people, but if i had a rifle i'd definatly shoot him.

also everyone who thinks its ok to leave their deisel engine running while they wait outside someones house.

But yeah, when you have to hear it every day it sucks man.. Did you know that these kids mod their exhausts with a cherry pipe? Thingy? Anyway it makes it louder.. THESE are the ones i want to talk to (torture) the most!

But some of these scooter FCKS! make their exhaust louder on purpose! They sound bad enough screaming at 40mph as it is! Grrrrrrr

While I can't speak for the rider in question, all the scooter and bikers I know with loud pipes do so for their own safety. Most car drivers pay less attention to their surroundings than bikers since they are encased in enough steal and plastic to spare a glance at their cellphone or radio. The added noise dramatically reduced the number of cars and trucks that nearly ran me over when I would ride. As the bumper sticker says "loud pipes save lives."

With that said I can name a few neighbors around here that just do it to be obnoxious.

And as a side note for the diesels mentioned above, many have to be left to warm up to avoid damaging the engine if they haven't been running long enough. A somewhat necessary evil for those in need of such a vehicle.

Mopeds? Ah you mean a hairdryer on wheels?

Yes, I hate those things and always think of them as mosquitoes, which should be killed instantly.

Definitely agree. Should be starred the most. Loud pipes do save lives.

Bikes one thing. Moped not so much though. They shouldn't be street legal. I'm thinking sidewalk legal.

I hate those loud obnoxious motorcycles!!! We have a young kid in our neighborhood whose motorcycle can be heard 3 blocks away! There should be a decibel limit on how loud their motorcycles can be modified. I know there's a law against drivers blaring their loud car stereo systems in our city. They should also include loud motorcycles.

When the windows rumble or it wakes you up in the middle of the night, I would definitely consider it disturbing the peace.

Ugh, I live in a very rural place, so it's normally pretty quiet...EXCEPT when a neighbour passes by on his way home from what must be a late shift Monday-Friday around 11pm with the senseless and ridiculous radio of his Honda Goldwing motorcycle absolutely blaring.

Whoever invented the sound system on those should be damned to an eternity of listening to snippets of classic rock mixed with exhaust rumble at full blast.

Headphones. They exist.

You forgot the really loud Harley's rolling by that are able to wake a newborn baby from a deep sleep and scare it half to death (while it's inside a house). That's what I HATE. I also hate all these cars that smoke and stink, I don't want to breathe that sh**!

I've heard all the stupid mantras invented by Harley riders to excuse their obnoxious machines.

Loud does not equal cool, which is what is really going on with the Harley rider.

The EPA should fine the hell out of H-D for excessive noise pollution since they intentionally make loud, crappy motorcycles that pee oil all over the place.

Harley-Davidson = American garbage.

Where I live the diesels idling and the loud scooters/motorcycles are allowed as long as they do not violate noise laws.

I idle my diesel as the turbo needs to run a while in order for the oil to lubricate it. After a long drive I must ilde it to let it cool down and prevent damage.

My scooter has a larger exhaust pipe to make it less noisy, due to the nitrous system installed when I need to get moving quicker. Usually to dodge the car that claims they did not see me.

Neither of mine are obnoxious unless you are uninitiated in diesel or scooters. I have had Harley riders tell me to make them both louder.

Theres a car in my neighborhood that sounds like a motorcycle that goes to work everyday at 430 AM.
I literally live across the street from a fire station and it doesn't bother me.

You guys must be living in some super-dense urban centers for it to be such a problem. I guess im just lucky I don't have to hear it.

I have to listen to the fyck'en mosque loud speakers every day, and the one at 4-4.30 AM is an animal in the dead of night, so don't complain about day noise.

I agree its an issue, yes but it pales into insignificance compared to harleys.

So let me throw a timid hypocritical moment out there

I have a stage 2 exhaust on my Camaro (RS so it's a bit quieter than the V8...but still)

I like my music on the louder side, premium sound system, etc.

But here is the thing...when I am on the highway and nobody can be bothered by me, I make my noise. When I pull off and especially when I get into or near a neighborhood, the music comes down and I drive with light acceleration and an easy foot. Thing is, I can make the exhaust purr instead of growl and I feel like, while I enjoy myself on an open road near no ears, I have the obligation to keep my neighborhood and every other neighborhood peaceful and quiet
