This belongs in the hoax bin!!!
But the refusal of the convention to approve or even consider reforms that will make the Democratic Party more attractive to voters leaves me with no alternative but to begin the difficult but necessary task of building a new party that not only embraces such reforms but fights for them in municipal, state and national elections.

This should be interesting if they actually get established as a political party. Here are some predictions:
1. The National Convention will employ the "progressive stack" for delegates.
2. Fundraising dinners will charge different amounts per plate based on level of privilege.
3. Black Lives Matter members are allowed to cut in line at all events.
4. All party employees will be paid $15 per hour.
5. Bernie Sanders wife will not be the treasurer.
6. Bankruptcy
(This is a thought experiment based on some of the discussion taking place around the need for the Sanders campaign to “continue the struggle” after Clinton becomes the Democratic Party candidate for president. It is of course highly unlikely that Sanders would ever follow such a path so in terms of the real world I will be voting for Jill Stein in November and urge everybody else to do so as well, even in “swing states”. )

americans sure do love there free-dumb don't they?
Yah you're right it was the utopian dream of the author of the article. But he's spot on about the utopian socialism of the bern.

Agreed. Or the title needs to be amended. Several of us have pointed out this as non-factual and still members continue to post without reading the thead or apparently even the post at hand.
. No it's because we really know he's farther left than Hillary and the democrat party and so are his followers and various uneducated people. The Bern is far left and even has a communist past. So the guy who put that "thought" out knew what he was saying. But it's like the last 8 years nobody wanted to hear about frank Marshall Davis they just knew it all sounded so wonderful you know forcing everybody else to give them some of their pie to use the first lady's own words. Oh yah and apparently bernie really doesn't like the chair of the dnc I just now heard a clip of him.

You mean I actually have to read the article?
Dude - that's a whole PARAGRAPH. One whole paragraph, that's just too much reading/comprehension for me.
It's amazing watching all of these posters lose their minds over something that they themselves fabricated because they're too lazy to actually bother reading the damn article and instead insert their knee-jerk replies based on headlines.
Americans truly do need an overhaul of education. People can't even read through a #ing paragraph of text to understand that Sanders - is in FACT - NOT creating ANY sort of new party.
Americans shame me on the regular. Proud to be an American, where at least I know where I'm surrounded by willfully-ignorant cock-a-doodles.

You all can deny it all you like.....
The reason is they cannot get any traction with more moderate people so they infiltrated the democrats. Do you know there were up to 72 members of the Democratic socialists of America who were also member of Congress? So if anybody thinks the Far Left hasn't been infiltrating the party and changing the values they are sadly mistaken. It's just not fast enough for some and it's even bleeding over into the GOP.

Isn't there already a socialist party in the US?
Why didn't he just run with that in the 1st place? Seems a little disingenuous to me.
But with that being said, I'd take Bernie over Hillary any day of the week.
