Let's not derail the thread.

I don't know any transgenders, that I know of. If they've been in the Ladies with me I've never noticed.

I don't get the impression they'd be obvious. They seem more likely to be very private about it, the goal being to blend in.

It added: “APA stands firmly behind efforts to criminally prosecute those who sexually abuse and exploit children and adolescents. We also support continued efforts to develop treatments for those with pedophilic disorder with the goal of preventing future acts of abuse.”

Your brain says one thing, your body another. You want your body to match your brain. It's got to be very frustrating.

I'm an addict. My "brain tells me" to drink.

I've been sober for 24 years; I don't listen to my brain on this issue because my addiction is a PATHOLOGY.

EDIT: The topic here is a newspaper article lying about what another newspaper said.

In a larger sense, it's about equal rights ... for Americans with differing gender identities.

Further, it's about an effort by the political right-wing in this country to renew the attack on LGBT rights at large.

I'll make a deal with them. If they won't show me their peepee's, I won't show them mine. This argument is silly. When most of us go to the ladies room, we don't look at anybody. Get in and out as quickly as possible. That's what we do. Not go in trying to get a glimpse of anybody with their pants down. Ridiculous.

I'd like to see these invasive "Pee Police" laws repealed so we can move on to something more substantial.
