It's only Nyawk being Nyawk. So after a missed pronoun, will the response from the Nyawker be "Are you talkin' to ME?"

No. It's "You talking to ze?"
Get it right

That would depend on the gender whim of the day of the aggrieved victim. Maybe a universal pronoun is what is needed. How about calling everyone Sh*thead? Easy to remember and pluralization is obvious.

Wait until the people who are short get upset and the people who are fat have their day in the victim sun.

Oh, boy! The perp was a physical male identifying as a female today...(he/she is really gender fluid) and she is fat but is identifying as slim. So, what does the poor cop doing the report put down in his paperwork? And they will be really confused when you tell the investigator that this fat female was white but identifies as black!

Hmmm. No link to the law itself in the article, so how can we properly vet this?

By not being lazy, research it your self!

It's the Nyawk thing to do, Sh*thead. This solves many problems if the Nyawkers wandering around refuse to carry signs with their preferred gender variant of the day in 4" block lettering.
This idiotic law won't go unchallenged and it will be fun to watch the weaseling and backpedaling when the unintended consequences bite the geniuses that came up with this.

We are already careening down the slippery slope. It may be too late. It is so important who we put into office and who that individual picks for Supreme Court justices.

As a society, we have become way out of balance and are entering the world of insanity.

No matter who is selected, I can't see anyone confirming a law that is unbounded and unenforceable. Freedom of speech may even do the trick.

IV.
PENALTIES IN ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIONS
The Commission can impose civil penalties up to $125,000 for violations, and up to
$250,000 for violations that are the result of willful, wanton, or malicious conduct. The
amount of a civil penalty will be guided by the following factors, among others:

The severity of the particular violation;

The existence of previous or subsequent violations;

The employer’s size, considering both the total number of employees and its
revenue; and

The employer’s actual or constructive knowledge of the NYCHRL.
These penalties are in addition to the other remedies available to people who
successfully resolve or prevail on claims under the NYCHRL, including, but not limited
to, back and front pay, along with other compensatory and punitive damages. The
Commission may consider the lack of an adequate anti-discrimination policy as a
factor in determining liability, assessing damages, and mandating certain affirmative
remedies.

Public Accommodations:
It is unlawful for providers of public accommodations, their employees, or
their agents to deny any person, or communicate intent to deny, the services,
advantages, facilities or privileges of a public accommodation directly or indirectly
because of their actual or perceived gender, including actual or perceived status
as a transgender person. Simply put, it is unlawful to deny any person full and
equal enjoyment of a public accommodation because of gender.

How does this equal being fined for misgendering? Unless that word is supposed to mean discrimination or harassment, the claim in the OP is false.

"Home of the Brave"!?? Holy cow! Isn't that slandering our Native Americans??! Like rubbing their collective noses in their defeat and loss of their "homes"?! Or something....

Yes...facetious, just like 99% of all the assinine, gripping sensationalism being flung around knee deep these days. People will never get over themselves. At least not until it's too late to wake up from the nightmare we're bringing down on our own heads. Hungar Games here we come, right behind 1984!

Time to begin referring to EVERYONE in terms such as 'CITIZEN' Smith...or 'COMRADE' Smith.

I can almost hear the octogenarian greeters at the front door now: "Welcome to Target, Citizen."

Ha! I like citizen. Sounds very Greeky or greecesy.

We can wear all the lovely 50 shades of grey jump suits like in the old sci-fi movies.
