This vid is eighteen mins short, I had seen some of his speeches and sit-ins before but I can't recall a religious leader spoke with such passion about LGBT rights and gender issue, but not only that he made a case for linkages of different political issues as stemming from the same source, and spoke of the need to to stand against it, he spoke to the issue of the ignored white under class , I do not know if this Rev have any plans to run for office but he deserved to be look at closely and I mean in a good way.. pls klik the link

I've been saying all along that transgender people and bathrooms were simply being used as pawns for political posturing and gain not to mention oppression and prejudice. Rev. Barber so gets the whole scope of this and people need to listen.

I love this guy. I hadn't heard of him before. I hope he gets more press, as I think he could do great things in mobilizing people against prejudice and oppression. He's definitely got charisma.

This is the kind of Christian we need to see more of in the public eye, someone who actually understands what's happening and isn't scared to stand up for what's right.

Where are all the supporters of this law? Why is that they jump into every other thread on ATS with their pitchforks ready to defend their hatred and intolerance of other free Americans but somehow this thread has completely passed them by?

It wouldn't be because this video forces them to reconsider their ignorance now would it?

I like his speech. I just don't understand why the Feds don't mandate schools to put in some convenient single bathrooms instead of having all big bathrooms. These people can use them. They shouldn't be pitting us against each other. We are all people and we can work this out without getting people fired up and having to choose a side. I have nothing against transgender people but would not feel comfortable dumping a smelly load in the next stall from a woman, guys can suffer, they make me suffer so I have no problem with waging a biological war with them.

I know, now I am being sexist because I don't feel women should have to put up with my crap. But to be honest, once you get married to a woman, they learn to suffer with the smell.
