With all the transgender posts going on at the moment, I decided to google "was Jesus transgender?"

I was surprised at how many results turned up!

My favourite (Link to source) basically says that Jesus, being son of God, had no gender before conception. God also has no gender. Therefore, Jesus must be transgender.

But is transgender really the right word? Would Jesus actually have been agender? (That means without gender)

But if he was agender, why would he be depicted as a male? That means that transgender would fit Jesus better than being agender.

What are your thoughts?

Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Luke 17-21

My thoughts are that Jesus was God, "in the flesh, in the form of man", so I don't think Jesus would be classified as transgener or agender. I thought he may have had children with Mary Magdalene as well? That whole conspiracy from Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code?

Jesus was definately a socialist...

Give up to ceaser what is ceaser's (pay your taxes)

The sermon on the mount where he fed all the people.

When he glorified the widow who put pennies in the plate over the people who put more..

The transgender part is an insane stretch, but he fits socialism pretty freaking well...

Except for the verse where he says "And God said let the free market set all prices, an tho shall not sign up for Obama care."

Lol

Form of a man, yes. But does that mean he was a man? His chromosomes would actually prove him being female as there would be no Y chromosome (from a male)

I don't know if I believe the book about that, but that's a different subject.

most gods of the Semitic people were depicted with a male persona, there if memory serves were a few female personas also. so it makes sense that The God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob be male and the off shoots of them also have male gods.
also if you read as you say the "book" you will see that every angel had male names. they too were sons of God just as men were.

i can't see how the site you link to can say that the God of the old testament is gender less, when all through it, it refers to God as a masculine persona.

No, he actually wasn't. He was not about a state controlled and compelled system.

He wanted people to choose to do it on their own. If people lived the way he wanted them to, the end results would look very close to idealized socialism in some respects, but it actually would not be. Read many of his parables, and he also taught in the context of prosperity too. You cannot have true prosperity of person and property in a system of socialism.

There was a portion where he chided Judas who wanted Martha to have sold nard and give the money to the poor instead of using the nard to wash Jesus's feet and hair. He chided Judas for his greed and envy instead of chiding Martha for using the expensive gift for him.

So while Jesus did want people to share of what they had freely, he was not about having them forced through state ownership to do so (which actually isn't sharing but something else). He wanted them to do it because it was the right thing to do. It is then called charity, and these days, I see a lot of anger directed at the church and their charity as though it is a bad thing. This echoes the greed and envy of Judas. Caesar wants his taxes!

There were female goddesses. Depicted as being female.

Agender means "without gender". The article mentions it a couple of times.

My issue is, if Jesus had ANY X chromosomes, that would mean that God was a human male, or, at the very least, Jesus was a son of a man and not a son of God.

Excellent point! His mother was XX + immaculate conception which means no male chromosomes.
If Jesus really existed he could only have been XX = female.

EXACTLY! So him walking around and acting as a male would make him transgender or transsexual.

Very possible as this was common in the Roman Empire at the time.

Yeah lol.

But if you think about it, it makes sense.

A guy needs a Y chromosome to be male. Females have XX.

It only leaves a few options.

Jesus was was a transgender/transsexual
Jesus' dad was a male human
God was a human male

All of this is based on the premise that biblical Jesus exists by the way.

Maybe Jesus's tomb was in fact the first transgender toilet and it simply took everyone 3 days to work out how to open it?

Maybe between the ages of 12 and 30 s/he was in fact merely finding him/herself and decided to throw down the political correction gauntlet and identify himself as a man, his son and a ghost with a virgin mother as back-up, consequently raising the ante for anyone else to identify themselves as something even more awesome.
