You are a drug
My drug of choice
Breathless and suffering I wait
Desperate to hear your voice

Endless, painful, hours go by
They seem like days
Obsessed with a sickness fueled by you
Crawling toward the edge in a fog like haze

Too weak to resist the drug I need
I’ve got my fix at last
The icy needle stabs into my vein
Waves of emotions racing passed

Closing my eyes and embracing the pain
Pulsing and pounding the drug enters my heart
Finally there I can breathe at last
I was to be your slave from the very start

When the last drop is gone
And I’m left drained and broken
I’ll search for you again
The cure left unspoken

I’ve given up my soul
For an eternity of pain
Barely clinging to life
Until I get my fix again

Hello beautiful!
Well that was...great, but sad.

I think I need to come pick you up in the T-bird and drag you off for some Thelma & Louise shenanigans.
(just waiting to hear back from Brad Pitt...Angelina is whining again, lol)

I hope you feel better after writing (purging) that.
Oh, and you certainly deserve that 'writer' status...talented little bird!

*squishy hugs* and *sloppy kisses*

Oh I hear ya girl...fell in lust/love with Satan incarnate!
Yes, it did feel like an addiction. The withdrawal was painful.

After the highs come the lows.
Eventually sanity returns, you shake yourself off...write some good rhymes...and to keep it musical, "won't get fooled again".

You write beautifully, and I so know the feelings you describe.
I've been a complete junkie with some people during my life...

That was pretty powerful.

I hope I'm someone's drug.
I'd indulge them, lol.

In fact I'd help them OD.
Well, if they were my drug too, that is.

It really depends on who that person is.
Most people I know I'd explain to them it's time to kick the habit.

I'm sorry about what you're going through though.

Hey nothing like a fresh pot of Hinoenma in the morning...

If not familiar?

Hinoenma ~ "Flying Bond Demon". A yokai(Demon) of Japanese Folklore who looks like a beautiful woman and seduces men in order to drink their blood or drain their life force. In some tales, she lures men away from their wives and then pushes them into despair and suicide. The name refers to the malignant feeling towards the bonds these demons destroy, in some cases being depicted as the ones responsible for the fall of clans and dynasties by their evil manipulations of the men in power.

Don't worry though; sir knight you can redeem "her" one of yama or the lord of deaths daughters btw... if you can make it through Naraka purgatory or hell; she's sent there to test and punish you though to see if you'll fall or worthy enough to rise up and learn.

Some of course knowing this... tarry on and leave the tourture knowing that is what it is back into the bliss of unawareness that; that is what it is. Of course her love is real and well don't all hell beasts deserve redemption? I mean you're there too after all... so may your A button not stick from all the leaps hoops and jumps and be sure to collect a lot of fire flowers for her Mario.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and this 'dead' thread :/
It was an addiction for both of us and I believe we've managed to break the habit. Once my feelings are purged in writing I am usually better, for awhile...and able to continue on and maintain. This particular situation, in retrospect, was fueled by familiarity and 'they' say it breeds contempt. Contempt I find helped break the cycle. I think any addiction is similar to walking a tight rope and dangerous and requires intense focus but, one must be ready to leap off on the other side when they run out of rope, so to speak.

I couldn't agree more, I've learned a lot in the years that addiction took it's toll. I wonder if my soul left or is it dead? I think the latter! Do you happen to have an extra one of those pills?

a reply to: BigBrotherDarkness
There must be a male counterpart.
Thank you for the information.
I could have lived in the 'bliss of unawareness' forever.

Thank you for stopping in, truly.
