I'll post these out in groups of five or so whenever I feel like writing them. There might be days or weeks between, or even months. If years pass I will have likely forgotten this entirely. But we will see what happens, I suppose.
Do note that these entries are independent and were not written to tell a story in concordance with one another, though I can imagine all of them save the third describing the same scene. Someone with their loved one dying in their arms on a rainy night.

Listen, hear the rain.
Cascading down from heaven.
Tears as angels cry.

White lights on black nights.
Oblivion's soft caress.
Fading. Going. Gone.

Silence, still your breath.
What lays beneath, they slumber.
Dead things in the deep.

Skin like frozen water.
And yet, beneath it, pulsing.
Blood like liquid flame.

Such tragic beauty.
Molten streams on silken cheeks.
Eyes like dying stars.
