It's a shame really. By the time the "community organizers" get their share...by the time "administrative costs" are paid....by the time "consultants" are consulted....and by the time the charities pay their CEOs and others.....there is very little left to actually help the people. It's all a scam, imo. The Clintons, imo, have this stuff down to a fine science.

Looks like the gang was trying to hide this to try and protect Mr Clinton's
relationship with Ms. McMahon. Oh boy, this is The Wall Street Journal,
not just some tabloid reporting on it!

One of Mr. Clinton’s top advisers at the time, Doug Band, tried to prevent the commitment from being added to the agenda as an onstage event in the weeks prior to the conference, according to a document reviewed by the Journal.

The commitment was entered into a database on the Clinton Global Initiative website. A few months later, it was removed.

The reason was to avoid calling attention to Mr. Clinton’s friendship with one company co-owner, Ms. McMahon, and to protect the integrity of Mr. Clinton and the Clinton Global Initiative, according to people familiar with the matter.

Oh boy, no wonder Mrs. Clinton and her campaign have "no response"

Glad to see the story is getting some media time beyond the front page of the NY POST!

Don't forget...her multi-millionaire father is a big, Clinton donor, as well.

Clinton was involved in Operation Secure Tomorrow alright:

By 2001, external support for Aristide had receded, in no small measure due to the replacement of Bill clinton by George Bush. Clinton had restored Aristide to power, an action that Republicans had opposed. The incoming Bush Administration's general approach was to do the opposite of whatever Clintonhad done, and Haiti was no exception. On December 17, 2001, the crisis escalated as armed commandos stormed the presidential palace in Port-au-Prince in an assault that the Government of Haiti (GOH) characterized as an attempted coup d'état.

Operation Secure Tomorrow 1

Operation Secure Tomorrow is an operation that took place from February-July 2004 in which a multi-national force led by 3rd Battalion 8th Marines and led by Marine Brigadier General Ronald S. Coleman, was sent by US President George W. Bush to Haiti to protect US interests there. The Central Intelligence Agency was believed to be behind a coup plot after it was revealed that the National Institute for Democracy, a US Congress-funded organization played a major role by funding opponents of the Lavalas government.[citation needed] The government was overthrown by rebels, led by Guy Philippe, Winter Etienne, and Louis-Jodel Chamblain in order to oust the left-wing President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, who was accused of being corrupt. In four months the multi-national forces brought Haiti back in line. The countries that participated in the operation were Chile, a close ally of the US in Latin America, and Canada's Liberal government that wanted to show its support for US foreign policy after its opposition to the Iraq War.[citation needed] External links[edit]

Hmm...$2 Million pumped down the hole:

Not surprisingly, here we are a few years later and the company, Energy Pioneer Solutions Inc., has "laid off most of his staff and closed his offices".

That is not the scandal though. It seems that a little money laundering among friends is going on with the Clinton Foundation using its non-profit status to funnel a grant of $2M to their friends in a for-profit venture.

The Clinton Foundation is a charity fraud, through and through.

Ortel said his reports in the coming months would also provide evidence that the foundation is not complying with state laws on fundraising, financial disclosure, and audits.

“I’m against charity fraud. I think people in both parties are against charity fraud, and this is a charity fraud,” he said.

Ortel said he hoped the reports would encourage investigative journalists to follow up on his findings.

So they're (MMFA) refuting the NY POST, WSJ, NBC, & FOX...and saying that no money was actually given to the firm in question [It was just a "commitment"]...and the allegations she was Clinton's mistress originally came from the National Enquirer.

A New York Post cover story that has been highlighted on Fox News claimed that the Clinton Global Initiative “doled out” $2 million to a company partly owned by a woman the paper insinuated is “rumored” to be Bill Clinton’s mistress. The foundation did not actually give money to the firm, and the rumors in question come from a single anonymous source in the National Enquirer.

I don't see any effort to address the allegation Bill personally lobbied for the firm for $812K in Federal grant money from, then, Energy Secretary Steven Chu.
I also find nothing denying that Clinton knew her or that she was a 'friend' & neighbor...or that her multi-millionaire father was a big Clinton donor.

After being challenged by CGI spokes-people today...the WSJ stands by it's story.

Clearly, the donation commitment was made part of the Clinton Global Initiative event at the behest of Bill Clinton, himself, through personal conversations with CGI member Kim Samuel...who initially made the $2M commitment as part of the CGI event...then retracted and reduced it to $500K out of concern it would draw"attention to Mr. Clinton’s friendship with one company co-owner, Ms. McMahon". The remainder of the $1.5M commitment was apparently cobbled together from:

" Mr. Tobias, the Democrats’ treasurer, said in an email a day after his interview that he, too, contributed to the commitment. The 2010 announcement of it cited only Ms. Samuel. Mr. Kleeb said the commitment announced was achieved, and he raised $2 million. He didn’t specify where the money came from."

The Clinton Global Initiative, at a Sept. 23, 2010, gathering in New York, announced a $2 million commitment to Energy Pioneer Solutions from Kim Samuel, a Canadian academic, philanthropist and a director and owner of the Samuel Group of Companies, which includes steel businesses.

She appeared on stage. A spokesman for Ms. Samuel, a longtime member of the Clinton Global Initiative, said she ultimately chose not to give the full $2 million.

This is a “personal financial matter and a personal investment,” said her spokesman, Alan Peck. “Following the initial September 2010 announcement and subsequent due diligence, the actual investment was $500,000 made by Ms. Samuel to Energy Pioneer Solutions on July 25, 2011.”

Mr. Tobias, the Democrats’ treasurer, said in an email a day after his interview that he, too, contributed to the commitment. The 2010 announcement of it cited only Ms. Samuel. Mr. Kleeb said the commitment announced was achieved, and he raised $2 million. He didn’t specify where the money came from.

The commitment was a late addition to the agenda for the September 2010 conference, internal Clinton Foundation documents reviewed by the Journal show.

According to one document, about two weeks before the conference, Ms. Samuel contacted an official in the Clinton Foundation’s commitments office and said Mr. Clinton wanted to feature her commitment to Energy Pioneer Solutions at that month’s gathering. Ms. Samuel’s spokesman didn’t respond to a question about that.

The Clinton Foundation spokesman said the information was withheld at the request of Ms. Samuel, the announced provider of the commitment.

Her spokesman didn’t respond to a question on that.
