An interesting choice. It has implications on many levels. The timing all but flat lines any hopes of Cruz getting backing from a large portion of the Republican party. Either in the convention or as an independent.

Likewise for any attempt by the GOP elite in forming a third party is likely killed.

It also seems to indicate that the healing process has begun in the republican camp with several endorsements within the party as well. The latest being Ambassador Bolton's endorsement of Trump.

The momentum continues with perfect timing for the announcement and more and more the Republican Party sees this an a done deal and is starting to focus on the general election.

A side comment, I hope those that have their fingers greased by TPTB in BOTH parties fear this move and not just the Democrats. To be a real leader both parties are culpable and specific members should be targeted if proven valid.

Gowdy 'could' end up a VERY busy man....

I was disappointed by Gowdy for choosing Cruz, but he's a Pitbull legally speaking.
But then, he gave us wasted time on the Benghazi trial, by coming up with nothing solid.

He was instrumental on the IRS, Obamacare, Illegal Immigration, and a myriad of other hearings.

Remains to be seen.
