Apparently a few keen plane watchers are travelling to Perth to see this. Might take the drive myself.

The six-engine, 600 tonne plane, which once transported a Russian space shuttle on its roof, was originally reported to be headed for Perth in mid-April but is now thought to be set to touch down in mid-May. The flight will be delivering a 117-tonne power generator from Prague for a WA resources company.

Antonov An-225 specifications

Crew: 6

Length: 84 metres

Wingspan: 88.4 metres

Height: 18.1 metres

Wing Area: 905 square metres.

that would be a cool sight to see. I wonder how much 117 tonne costs in airfreight charges.

I got a chance to see it a few years back. It flew into Rickenbacker (LCK) to pick up some type of MASSIVE General Electrics engine.

It was quite the sight to see. Mind boggling how something that big can take flight.

I'm not a serious plane spotter, yet I drove out to the northern end of Perth airport and watched the Antonov depart straight overhead from my chosen viewing position. It was a very cool sight.
