Why is the phone in dispute between the parents and police? I know if my 14 year old was missing under mysterious circumstances, I'd want to see what was on the phone. Leads me to believe what is on the phone will show these weren't innocent teenagers and the parents know it, and don't want law enforcement and the public to think less of the kids.

here is a quote from one of the moms from the link already posted

Pamela Cohen, the mother of Perry Cohen, alleges in the complaint that if the iPhone leaves the custody of law enforcement officials, “critical data and other information that may be retrievable … will be lost forever.”

I believe they came to some sort of an agreement over this

Well,

On July of 2015 the life vests that they carried in the boat were found in coast of Georgia, an astonishing finding that seems to support the idea that something really abnormal happened in the boat.

Please check:
www.wptv.com...

Two experienced adolescents on fishing maneuvers with life vests at hand would never be in the middle of a storm without wearing them, that does not match at all with logic.

Perhaps the suspicion of Mrs Cohen, the mother of one of the kids, is more than justified, the fact they life vests were not used by the boys does not have any sense, if we think in a boat sinking.

This looks more as an abduction case than anything else, like if somebody or something have reached them and literally took them from the boat.

Thanks for your attention,

The Angel of Lightness

Fourteen year old kids on the open sea? What could possibly go wrong?

Obviously it must be aliens, or the mythical Bermuda triangle, as no one, especially kids, ever have accidents in small boats in the open sea!

That doesn't even make sense honestly. Two kids in what is not that large of a boat with no protection, get carried away in the current, approach a nasty storm, they even send a snapchat indicating that they basically know they are in huge trouble, and so the assumption is that it was abduction?

Having a pair of life vests means squat honestly. It means you can float in the water. It doesn't mean you are guaranteed to be found. You are still at the mercy of the current, the weather, of dangerous critters in the ocean, dehydration, etc. It makes much more sense their boat was caught up in the storm, and they went overboard. Just because they may have had flotation devices doesn't mean a lot.

how many life vests were in the boat maybe those were extrtas......just because they were experienced doesn't mean they are infallable......smart people make bad choices and do stupid things...teenagers, they think nothing will ever happen to them.
